If you can walk or take UBER, fairly nice, clean, quiet apartments in safe areas near La Zona can be rented at much lower prices. We can have a nice, quiet place to take your sweethearts all night and have good sleep. Most bar girls would go to guys' places for TLNs with discounts, making late dinners, drinking, partying and of course hot sex all night.

Many girls new to Tijuana would love to have a nice, clean, safe place to stay while they start their bar careers and find permanent places. They are the sweetest girls to have around.

I have been looking for apartments in safe and convenient areas near La Zona. A couple guys can split a multibedroom apartment with full kitchen, cleaning maids cheaply. GF's will provide some of the finest cuisine you can get anywhere in BC..
If I show my friend this post he'll apply for permanent residence, LOL.

Basically it's not really "investing" . As you kind of need to accept that your money could be gone when you buy something. I am thinking anyone who does buy down there probably can afford to loose the money if all hell breaks loose.

One thing they need to do it move all the tent people who are living in the square that pedwest leads to in Tijuana as it's still filled with tents.

So I'd imagine since she is so tight with family and her age that she has talked to you about having a kid, with your past and age I'm sure you have thought about this and my guess is that maybe you not wanting a child would be the downfall of your relationship. Just talking from experience.
I returned to Tijuana Sunday night and currently at Playas getting a car stereo installed. I grew up in the south and people are more hospitable in that region compared to SoCal. I think SoCal people are too busy to make small talk and have to work to keep head above water or just a large transient population. Hawaii has very hospitable people on the island as long as your friendly and not stuck up. She mentioned kids prior to us dating, but she mentioned in 8-10 years which is kind of scary as I would be early grandpa age by that time.

Does anybody here have any evidence that something like this has actually happened to an expat?

    Mexico's strong men

Mexican friends told me villages in rural areas each has a strong man who can take your properties, rape your daughters, do whatever as he pleases. Nobody can do anything about it. Policias are afraid of them and mostly work for them.

In drugs producing and transporting regions, the cartels are kings. They would do whatever they want. Central and local government officials work for them to benefit from the profits. That's how lawless Mexico is.

Who would want to own properties or get involved with anyone long term in Mexico? We are lucky to be able to play in La Zona then get our asses back across the border to safety, law and order.

Investing in growing a new, fresh, hot crop of HK girls every months. You can enjoy them better than mowing grass, digging weeds, chasing robbers and vermin out of your properties.
Lots to be said for drilling wells and spreading seed.

Taxis can be a risk. Avoid.

Thanks for sharing. So my encounter may not be so uncommon.

Sounds like it is best to take HK Limo to get to / from border. , and Uber for other trips. Unless you are willing to get on buses.

Bus from border to Central can work if you don't have luggage (but I do have luggage).

    Permanent shared rooms in Cascadas?

I have fantasized having a permanent room in Cascadas.

We may be able to team up and share permanent rooms in Cascadas. Working with the management to get great rates for us and guaranteed income for hotel.

$2000/ mo for single $1000/ person (2 sharing single).

$3000/ mo for double - $750/ person with 4 people sharing double room.

Economics would get much better as we work with Cascadas to allow even more people to share a room since not everyone will be there every day. Guarantee no more than 2 people per single room and no more than 4 in double at any time.
