Ok I'm seeing this word spelled "Masero" more often then the right way. Not that it really matters, but if you are pronoucing it the way you are spelling it, then you won't be understood. The right word is "Mesero", derived from the word "mesa" which means "table". Therefore in spanish a "waiter" is a "mesero" which literally means "table man". If it were a lady, that waitress would be a "mesera" or literally "table woman". Just FYI. Use it as you will.

I appreciate your pedantry and am usually the same way but I gave up on this site's bastardization of the Spanish language long ago. My favorite other common gringo-ism is the "fischa" drink. Fischa is a river in Austria. The girls work for a ficha. It means token / chip in the bars. In a police station your ficha is the file the cops have on you. At Oxxo you buy a ficha to recharge your cellphone.

As mentioned earlier, the waiters will respond to anything. The international holding up your nearly empty drink works. I'll usually say güey to the younger waiters or señor to the old guys. Mesero, of course, works fine too.

But to those that actually want to learn the language, understanding the proper spelling and pronunciation makes it easier to learn faster. As Party God said, mesero is derived from mesa, meaning table and the.ero suffix to mean table man / woman. Just as carne is meat, and carnicero is butcher. By understanding these common suffixes you don't need to look up or memorize words.

First time on this forum but long time Tijuana strip club connoisseur. Like most my go to spots are AB & HK but for a short time it was Bolero.

That place had some of the most gorgeous women I've ever seen (including SD, LA, & LV!) Stopped going when all the chaos broke out, when I returned last.

Year the entire plaza was a ghost town and the club was empty.

Last I heard was that it was closing, if it already didn't. Anyone been there recently?

I call the waiter like this: hey, you, whistle him, show him a dollar, raise your hand and even calling asshole works too, so don't worry about spelling the word correctly these bars are a zoo and they don't require a bachelors degree to walk in.

Yo Gents, My last trip to Tijuana, a week ago was a total disaster. My past MO is to use the escort services beause I get the guarrantee GFE, in my nice hotel rm. I use mainly LLA and CuminTJ. You won't get the full on assault during the weekdays which is way better IMHO. You can actually walk around and breath in HK club. The weekend is when a lot of gringos come down. Yuck.

IMHO better deals are to be had late Sunday through Thursday.

Sat. Was the busiest, followed by Fri, then Thurs, and the biggest drop off was Sun. Far from empty on Thurs. Even Sunday picked up, just a little later, and still plenty of hotties.

The best time to come to the Zona Norte is on the weekends beginning Friday night and continuing through Sunday morning. If you insist on coming during the week, you should not be disappointed if you were not looking for the trophy fuck that only works Saturday nights. There are (IMHO) a lot of very do-able girls out all of the time.
