My advice is to rent an apartment on a month to month basis in case things go south and so you are not locked into a lease that you may want out of, which can happen very quickly with these women. And don't rent an expensive place at first, as you want to get to know this woman. Yeah, I mean we're all different, but this how I suspect I'd feel if I moved to SD and went down to the Zona more frequently. "Bored" is probably the wrong word (as yes, the Zona is pretty much never boring) but really think it'd get old and that I'd get burned out after a while. I will say that the thought has crossed my mind in the past to move from the East Coast to the San Diego area, with only a small part of that having to do with easier access to Tijuana. Even without the benefits of Zona Norte the San Diego area stands on its own as a fantastic place to live so it's something I'll still consider.

In my experience, newbies to San Diego rent a place by the beach, then eventually realize the rent is too high. They then move to El Cajon for cheap rent. If you are moving to San Diego for access to Zona Norte, anywhere near a trolley station will work for you. El Cajon, La Mesa, Chula Vista or Santee all have trolley stations and reasonable rent. Suggest an apartment no more that 2 or 3 blocks walk from a trolley station, then spring for a monthly transit pass so you can take the trolley to the San Ysidro trolley stop and walk across to Tijuana.

I guess depending on where you are in life, but maybe you're younger than me and want something more than just arriba with the chicas. I'll be 50 in March I have been married, my kids are adults, I have been single for so long that I can't imagine being with someone and having to compromise with women near or my age and I got a great job that is allowing me to move to the San Diego area and remote work from there. I wanted to move there the first time I visited several years ago. Guys from the East Coast, my advice is to move to Chula Vista because there are a lot of apartment buildings there (around $ 1500 per bedroom) and it's cheaper than San Diego. Sign a contract for half a year or a year and if you don't like it, then look for an apartment in San Diego but rent is more expensive there. To rent an apartment you must show your income and your bank account balance. Chula Vista location is good because lots of shops, supermarkets, restaurants the city is generally clean and safe. (Of course this is not Beverly Hills) Everyone here speaks English or Spanish. You park your car for free in the trolley car parking, take the trolley and in 30-40 minutes you are in Zona Norte. Also 30 min. To the beach (Coronado or Silver Strand. Imperial Beach is closed now because pollution), 30 minutes to downtown San Diego, to CBX airport Tijuana, also close to San Diego airport SAN domestic and European connections. There are Indian casinos in the area as well also close to LOS Angeles and Las Vegas. You can meet chicas regularly in Hong Kong, Adelita or at the Mansion motel (4 hours room rental) or at the Cascadas hotel (70% discount on Monday, Tuesday with VIP card). It is important that prostitution is legal in Tijuana Zona Norte and you cannot be arrested and no sting operations. If you smoke then cannabis is legal here in California. Rosarito, Ensenada and Valle de Guadalupe on the Mexican side are also nice. Southern California good sunny climate and good destination for single, divorced and retired guys!

It's not your fault. It's the way we're trained and indoctrinated as we are raised from boys to men. "Sugar and spice and everything nice" is bullshit when it comes to women in general. We grow up. Some of us learn (often the hard way), some never learn. I have found that a woman is more likely to respect and desire a man who is strong enough to stand up to her and not let her have her way all the time.
