As many will recall, I left Cali over a month ago to live and work in San Antonio. Bad idea. Since I moved to San Antonio, I have had nothing but bad luck. This includes getting side swiped in New Mexico by a big rig when two lanes merged into one, working a job that ended up to be a piece of crap labor camp type of employment, getting my front bumper and side panel of my car bashed in by a hit and run idiot at a grocery store. The bar scene in both Nuevo Laredo and Ciudad Acuna totally sucks. I was with a hottie in a bar called Pullmans in Nuevo Laredo. She was going to hang out with me all night and not work as long as I gave her some money for the whole day and night. I got sicker than a dog at one of the bars we went to and told her that I needed to go back to my hotel alone. She got pissed and threatened me, telling me. You leave and don't pay me and you will be very sorry. You will pay big time. This is as she started making calls to god knows who. So I ended up paying her so I didn't get my ass whipped by a band of cartel thugs. So, with this string of bad luck, I have decided to come back home to Cali.

Have you ever cold approached in Tijuana? As in go up to random women at the grocery store / mall and start a conversation. I went through a pick up phase in America but here women are tough customers. My best success was always in the party, nightclub scene. I imagine pick up in Mexico is dating on easy mode. You say different but I have this idea in my head that all poor Mexican women dream of dating an American.

I've picked up chicas in normal bars but the ones I've picked up were not true civvies and instead young single moms out having a good time yet not opposed to making some milk money. That's the sweet spot for me because although pros, not hardened ones and at the same time lines don't get blurred because I'm paying. Just in a stage of my life right now where I just want the booty call as opposed to get caught up in a relationship. As for what Mexican women dream of, I don't know or care.

I go around in nyc suburbs and it looks more like Mexico or Guatamala then Tijuana does. I get to practice my Spanish all night long.

I've tried to say Hello, etc to many maids restaurant workers. They are not at all interested in talking to me.

Even the ones who get tips from me as cleaning lady and have known me for years. Contrary to our wishful thinking, the Mexican woman are not desiring gringos. Maybe before the internet. Actually I worked as a male dancer at Show Palace which was the male revue across the street from Showorld. Robyn would come into the dressing room to say Hello,. It was pretty cool to say you worked in a legendary sleaze establishment. I worked at a few other scandalous "revues" in the area then around 1993 - 97 is when things started to close down and Disney stepped in.

Tinder is significantly better in Tijuana than San Diego. About ten times better. Easily. In San Diego, a tinder girl is going to care very much what you do, what part of San Diego you live in, who you live with I'd anyone, parking situation. And #1, #2 and #3 will be your height. In Tijuana you can be broke like me, just pay 70 bucks for a nice hotel on revolucion and have 30 bucks for dinner. Bam. You all set. Especially if she doesn't have a visa to go to USA. But in general Mexican woman, aren't that interested in American men. I've sat in Mexican coffee places hundreds hours had a thousand Mexican waitresses and never met a girl to even talk to for 5 minutes if it qasnt from tinder. But still tinder is better in Tijuana than San Diego, or Angeles, and better than Florida. Only place tinder is easy for a guy is nyc because its filled with woman. Unless your a tall guy. Then tinder can be good everywhere.

Personally I find that it is better to pay for things in Pesos. If you pay in dollars the Mexicans will round up to the higher price. The other advantage is that the girls will accept a bit less if you pay in Peso's.

I use pesos for everything, a good rule of thumb is a dollar is 20 pesos, it's a good round figure and always pretty close.

Yeah that is what I was thinking. Her friend was kind of silent when we were talking about things to do in Cancun. I'm sure she doesn't make enough disposable income to travel often. A lot of places have property managers that run the places and you don't deal with the owner directly. When I was looking for my place a buddy set me up with a rental agent. She knew the aras I liked and showed me a few places. One on the golf course that was nice but more mine and bigger than I needed. Another place that was nice because it had a pool but I didn't like the layout of the apartment. I used the same lady to help another guy find a place in Tijuana. I doubt I have HR number anymore but if you drive around you will see the phone numbers of agents in Tijuana windows of people renting apartments.

The bad thing about her being in Centro and you not being with her permanently is that she could be tempted to work at a bar when your not around. Don't mean to be negative it's just something to think about.

Yeah not too worried as if she rents by her friend, then she most likely wouldn't want to reveal what she really did for work. It is just odd that her cousin and friend wouldn't know how to put 1 and 1 together by meeting a gringo with little Spanish and spending money to take her on vacations. I saw a billboard driving back from Playas with HK Halloween party and was going to say something to her, but her friend was in the backseat. Not sure how common people in Tijuana know about Zona Norte. I just stated how much I'd offer her per week for "support" which is equivalent to what I pay her for an overnight. So if I manage to stay a couple days per week, then got more than my monies worth. I can’t imagine women really enjoy working in the Zona. Also the vacations I don't have to pay her a daily rate, so win win in my book. I actually suggested meeting at HK to chat and she gave me a crazy look. I'll let her know to contact an agent for an area that she is considering.
