Monday alley was fairly quiet. Monday is the off day in mexixo for bars clubs. I showed up buzzed and thought the policia were guys in costumes. That was my 1st reaction. Hk didn't have a lot of guys. Decent amount of woman at the other 2 main bars as well. Woke up today and a friend needed me to go to her medical appointment with her. I think it's more the Tijuana-SanDiego inflated pricing. You would figure that things are more expensive in a big modern city like Mexico City than Tijuana, but just about everything in Mexico City is cheaper. Monterrey too. The reason is that there are tons of people working in San Diego making $20/ hour at fast foods and living in Tijuana like upper class folks. People living in Mexico City don't get the $20/ hour minimum wage.

This is so true. A person working 30 hours a week (which is normal for fast food) and paying taxes would make after tax dollars of around $450 a week (this includes SS / MEDI tax and whatever local / state taxes apply, in addition to roughly 10% income tax).

Compare that to mexico (as a whole, tijuana is likely expensive for most mexicans) households making that in a month. I've heard economic reports stating mexicans are getting around $800 per household, which may or may not include multiple workers.

I see a lot of conflicting reports when it comes to wages though. We all know taxis working at the border make bank (relatively speaking). I've read on payrollmexico.com that the minimum wage is 300 MXN per day (a little more than $20/ day USD) in the border region, which tijuana would be. I am certain many people work for this wage, and the averages have to be skewed by incredibly well paid professionals.

On quora people are saying $800/ month for call center jobs. Put this all into perspective. How much should a girl make for spreading her legs for you? No doubt more than a normal job, but how much more? And how many clients / hours should she do it for? I think its reasonable for a girl to get half a day's wage in one go. And that would be a normal street girl doing a quickie (although I'd say 20 minutes or half an hour should be a quickie, not 5 minutes). Given this information, a girl *should* be charging around 10 USD for a quickie. However we know for a fact that even street girls are charging much more. This is because Americans are paying it. There are many people who are not on this board who would pay even American prices for these girls, simply because its legal here. I understand why they do it, but the reason many of us come to mexico is because its cheaper.

I've seen 'kids', and by that I mean college kids who are roughly 19-20 years old, filming everything that goes on near HK club. These guys do border excursions for the thrill and novelty, just to say they did it. They record things to put on the internet for clout. They also are willing to pay these outrageous prices because they are only doing it once. I'm not a regular by any means, but any time I go to California I now also stop by Tijuana.

On my last trip I met a gringo looking guy who spoke perfect spanish. He worked at burger king and lives like a king here in Tijuana. His rent was like $200/ month, and he eats out every day (most Americans cannot even afford this lifestyle). Americans are pushing up prices fast in Tijuana, and it won't slow down. This is very specific to Tijuana though, given san diego is incredibly expensive. I'm sure there are border towns (less safe ones) in the central border or eastern border area where US incomes have little or no effect, but then again how good is the mongering? Unfortunately mongering is dying (if you read the south american forums) in a lot of the countries, and not getting better anywhere. We might be the last generation to experience working girls who do not cost us a fortune.

I'm not sure if we can provide a solution to this economic death spiral of prostitution. I was thinking there should be an app kind of like airbnb but for girls haha. You know, with reviews and listed prices or something. Mexico is a expensive place. I took a Uber in alberquerque other day it was cheaper than Tijuana would of been. I spent 9 dollars to go from plaza centilla area on constitution to go 3 blocks in straight line south it was 9 dollars took driver 4 minutes.

Last week they opened PedWest back up going from Mexico to the US. Starting Monday they will have it open going from the US into Mexico. This will only be open from 3 pm till 11 pm everyday so not sure if this really helps any of us.

Seems pretty obvious that this is just to help those going back and forth to do holiday shopping. At least it's something.

Just a heads up. I did my 1st visit to Zona since covid on weds and I found plenty of doable street girls around dusk, prices $20-450 pesos plus room. Thurs and Friday did an Otay crossing visit to friend that lives in cucupah area. I crossed around 8:30 am and had suitcase bag and back pack in hand. I go to 1st taxi stand and get $28 quote and knew in past I had gone to same general area for around $15. I text my friend and she got me an Uber which I also did for Friday return trip. Uber both ways 169 pesos so with tip a cost of $10-11 verses $28 cab fleecing. And I admire anyone that can navigate that traffic in tijuana.

I visited for my 10th trip this past September and it was my first time back in a while. I had previously gone in Feb of 2020 before the lock down & in Nov 2021.

This was the first time in 10 trips that I didn't really enjoy myself. Maybe it was me, but I'll detail my experiences below.

The peso traded at 0. 169 when I was there, so easy 20/1 conversions were made a bit tougher. While prices have increased slightly over the past 2-3 years since covid, I've always managed to find someone I clicked with who would take $1500-1600 MXN or roughly $75-80. Because the dollar is down, that should actually now be $1200-1400 MXN in theory.

While most services & goods haven't jumped out of control. I was still able to get cheap cabs / ubers, dirt cheap food, cheap liquor. The price of pussy has skyrocketed. $100 USD was the bare minimum for any club girls, and even some street meat prices were ridiculous. Almost all interactions with girls were short, superficial, fake or all business.

I got into town, settled into Rizo de Oro. The remodeled rooms are nice, but alas, the prices have gone up here too. With Adelitas out of the picture, there isn't much luxury hotel competition for Cascadas & Rizo.

Headed to Calimax to get my supplies. Some toiletries, TP for the room, plastic cups, drinks, tequila & rum, snacks, etc.

Took a lap around the stroll and didn't see anything interesting, so I decided it was time to see my fav mesero at tropical. Pulled a girl from Tropical just to get the lay of the land. Taxi prices have gone up like everything in Tijuana so it's not just for gringos. I think most would agree that Uber is always cheaper. I don't use Otay but I know that the SY crossing has a board at the line to get a taxi showing the price to certain areas of the city. For whatever reason the taxi drivers keep the higher prices but they rip off locals as well.

You can also use the InDrive App that from my experience is even cheaper than Uber in other parts of Mexico.

You make good points here, though "jaded and businesslike" certainly doesn't apply to all the chicas in that age range. I suppose most would have been in the game for a while to get that way, though there are actually some chicas who don't start "working" until their mid or even late 20's. Women in their late 20's and older also have more experience sexually, which goes a long, long way IMO. They say women hit their sexual peak in their 30's (compared to men in their 20's or even as early as late teens). There are certainly positives and negatives with each age range, but that's just my preference LOL.

La Mansion (https://motelamansion.com/) is more well-regarded then the motels you mentioned and is the one that was recommended by the chica I've frequented the most over the years. I always stay in Zona Norte so don't really even need any of those motels, but she drove me out there once a couple years or so ago. Was a fine motel, no issues. Each room I think even had its own enclosed garage for privacy reasons. I think the way it works is on weekdays you can rent for the whole night but on weekends you can only rent for a certain number of hours (maybe 4) with no in-out privileges. I'm not an expert on this place and it's been a couple years so you'd probably want to verify that. But the rooms were nice, more spacious and cheaper than what I'm used to at Cascadas.

But I'd defintiely look at La Mansion over those other three you mentioned. I know his name is dirt here but Luke Powell has also recommended La Mansion within several of his videos.

I am actually staying in Hotel Cascadas but am wanting to do a longer session with a girl without having to deal with BS ficha fines and bar fines from HK for going over an hour. I have been messaging a HK girl (different one) and she is down to meet up with me, but she said I would be charged 10 fichas for her entering my room during non working hours. I've used loads of the motels over the years. Last questions first. Normally the price shown is for 4 hours. There are exceptions. During the week (M-Th) sometimes the price can be for all night if you choose. Others, like Otay, show a 4 hour price and an all night price. On weekends virtually all the hotels only rent for 4 hours at a time. If you want to stay longer you must pay every 4 hours.

You don't "book" a room, you show up and rent one. Weekend evenings there may be a line. You pay your money, park and wait.

SOP for most locals is to rent a room, and then call an escort. You give the escort your room number. She shows up and tells reception, who calls your room. Sometimes you can meet the girl someplace nearby, and enter the motel together, either by foot, by your / her car, or by taxi.

When you get the room you will be asked to leave an ID at reception unless you are driving your own car. People freak out about this, but it's SOP and for everybody's safety. When you check out the room will be inspected, they will charge you for damaged stuff or stained towels (don't ask), and you'll get your ID back. All perfectly normal.

The closest decent ones to Centro are La Mansion and El Parador. I think Parador is a bit cheaper.
