My wingmen and I have had our cards hacked repeatedly using the ATMs in HK, Cascada and around the bar block. But I used my Credit and Debit cards to pay restaurants, repairs shops and in OXXO, no problems.

It's safer to bring enough cash for a couple days, exchange to pesos at the cambio on Coahuila near the School Girl corner. If you need more cash, walk to banks on Revolucion and use their ATMs. You are likely safer there.

This has been asked before, but the consensus was to use your ATM card if you don't get murdered by bank fees, or to exchange it on the US side at one of the many places on San Ysidro Blvd, or at a Casa de Cambio, like the one on Cuahuila down the block from Hong Kong.

Tap at each station not just once. Came on Coaster Regional Day pass on Amtrak / Blue Trolley / International Border. Print the receipt for Amtrak inspector. Unable to read Pronto Card. Trolley inspector reads Pronto card and gave me the tap requirements for future travel.

Been a few years since I've parked at one of those Border parking lots. Have no intentions of parking out there again unless I absolutely have to LOL. Exclusively trolley station parking lots (which are free) for me. $5 round trip on the Pronto card. You can get the Pronto app on your phone, load $5 in before hand, and not have to worry about fooling with purchasing fare from the fare stations. One thing I've noticed is fare enforcement by San Diego transit police seems to have decreased DRAMATICALLY since the new Pronto card went into effect a couple months ago. On all my previous trips, I could expect to probably have my fare checked by a transit officer during a trip. During my most recent trip a couple weeks ago, my fare wasn't checked even once during several trolley rides. I assume the lack of enforcement is temporary while the Pronto card is still being phased in.

There is not much $ saving flying out of Tijuana to Colombia. You would lose 2 days in Tijuana, going and returning.

A few airlines are flying from LAX to Colombia for about $350 RT. Look in FLIGHTS. GOOGLE.COM.

With the opening up of the Border for non-US citizens / residents, do we have a different queue for non-US citizens / residents where they have to show their proof of vaccination and visa while US Citizens / residents still breeze through by showing their proof of citizenship / residency? Or is it a single long queue with everyone in it.

I was returning recently over a ped east weekday at 8 pm. There was a long line on the right. These are Mexican citizens waiting in line because they arrange the US visa in the building inside. You walk on the left side to the regular entrance for US citizens. I do not know who and where checks the vaccination evidence for foreigners.

I'm a NorCal guy who goes to Tijuana once or twice a month to flush the pipes. But now tries to go to Colombia as much as I can, every 4 to 8 weeks to indulge in the pursuit of chicas. Both Colombianas and Vennies. They will blow your mind away. The Tijuana chicas don't even cum close to their looks and services, and can be had for as little as $10 buck $. I crossed over last Monday and they asked a white guy who had filled out his day pass what the purpose of his visit was. I pay the $30 twice a year and sail thru the left side just to avoid the sometimes gringo line and lack of hassle. It's going to be worse over the holidays for sure. And if you plan on visiting more than once in the same seven days you have to ask them to mark your day pass for that.

I have a trip to Tijuana booked for early December. It will be my 7th overall trip to Tijuana. I may do one more trip later in winter before taking a break from Tijuana for awhile.

My next & really only 2nd destination will be Colombia. Not sure which city yet. I prefer places where most things are nearby to each other. Like in Zona Norte, Tijuana. Will have to do more research on Colombia.

Hopefully all Covid restrictions will be lifted soon. Like masks, tests, etc. Though I am fully vacinated.

I've also got some non mongering trips to take too, so 1-2 Tijuana trips and 1-2 Colombia trips may be it for the next couple years. I live in Midwest, I'm not a SoCal guy.
