Anyone notice La Valentina bar is still closed? It's the only bar still shut down.

Started out using Figral from Piri Pharmacy. Then I tried Alegre which was better than Figral and then I tried Maxifort which had the best results out of the 3. When it comes to the USA Brands they are far superior and the effects last a lot longer than their Mexican counterparts. When I go to Piri I get Maxifort brand Sildenafil. Has anyone else had similar results?

I have tried all of the brands that you mention here. The best of all of these for me has been Maxifort. Do yourself a favor and try a brand called "Bullenza". It is sildenafil but works every bit as good as Pfizer Viagra. Much better than Maxifort. Go to Farmacia Similares or Sanborns to get it.

The main thing is to never let your guard down in Tijuana. In my mind the Mexicans see you us a rich gringo that they can get money from. When I am in the Zona I always look to see who is behind me The one good thing is that the Zona ha become much safer in the past year or so. But should not let you lull yourself into dropping your guard down. There has also been some reports that the police have been trying to extract more bribes recently.

If you don't do drugs, haven't been in a fist fight in 20 years, and only stay in HK, you will definitely be safe. If you are intrigued by cheaper drugs, want to fight people who try and scam, rob, verbally insult you, you can very easily get into a lot trouble. If your a angry drunk, stay home. You don't want the Mexican jail problems. If I was bigger, and trained in fighting, I probably would of been stabbed to death when choked out on the street. If my initial reaction when getting slapped hard by chicks is to hit back, I would of never made it back to the states. If I didn't like drunk customers telling me they want to decapitate me, I would of been arrested for fighting. If I didn't remain calm and polite in HK hotel when ski mask gunman tried breaking into my room, saying they were police, I definitely would not have returned to America alive. In Mexico, the other person is always correct and you just say "sorry" , and remain calm. Otherwise don't go.

I checked the CBP site and there is no alerts or info that indicates there is a pedestrian closure. Also tried calling, but was only able to reach the CBP border crossing hotline. There was no news about a closure. I will try checking later on tonite. If anyone has any info please post.

I crossed into the states from Mexico at 4:45 AM Sunday 29th It was open. My friend left Saturday same time and it was open.

Nearly every time I've gone to Tijuana (20+ times from the East Coast) I've gone solo and had no issues. Honestly, would just exercise the same precautions in Tijuana that you'd exercise in any sketchy area of the USA That you're unfamiliar with. Mainly keep a low profile, don't act like an ass (this is probably most important LOL), and mind your surroundings as you're walking around. Don't venture out from the core areas of Zona Norte, especially at night. If you look like / fit the profile of someone who has $$$ maybe dress down a bit. In particular for street girls appearance isn't all that big of a deal IMO. I always prefer nights, but daytime / afternoon might be better looking for street girls if you're especially worried about your safety. But again, I've been to Tijuana solo 20+ times (which I guess actually isn't a whole lot of times relative to many on this board) and never had any issues.

Absolutely nothing to do of interest in San Diego at night if your single, so went to Tijuana. Hk, a bit quiet before 10 at least. Chicago was no fun. Normally Chicago has better effort woman but the layout is tough where everyone can see everyone at all times. Anyway Adelitas actually was crowded no idea why maybe men getting sick of hearing 100 dollars st HK. The 2 ficha I bought st Adelitas, the girl still wanted 100. I don't offer 70, if she says 80 ill offer 70. Otherwise forget it. Then was told to leave by bartender as soon as she left because I didn't want a drink again immediately. Grumpy folks in Adelitas these days. Anyway, if your Mexican or like Mexican music and can find fun in chubbier woman, Gloria bar still has 2 beers for 4 bucks, a lot of woman, I qas only gringo in it. To me Gloria bar has taken over what was once Chaveles. Was quoted 70 by 1 girl who most would rate a 6.5. Only problem is, 1 time I was in the Gloria bar hotel, the girl didn't shower before or after, it was sex on bed spread no sheets, I don't think there was towels for either of us. Its just a lot issues if your hygienic at all.

That's exactly what I feel. Unlike HK, Adelita"s is a no go zone now.

I'd say definitely come down. It's the unknown to you but there's nothing to be afraid of. Being from Chicago, you're going to be blown away if you're used to The Admiral, All Stars and Heavenly Bodies. I know well the 708 now turned 630. There's no secrets to staying safe in the Zona. Just the usual practices when in sketchy areas. I'd say the #1 rule is to not engage in conversation with any male on the street not wearing a bar uniform. Make sure any hotel room you rent has a heater. It will be cold.

I would suggest staying at one of the Major Club hotels -- Cascades above Hong Kong, Rizo De Oro above Tropical, Jalos above Chicago or Coahuilla above Adelita. Try to most walking during the day, but the alley and main block. With HK & Adelita should still be safe up til 2/3 am.

Take the HK or Chicago shuttle to / from the border. A few taxis could be crooked.

Otherwise just stag on the main drags & don't get too drunk.

Some dude name Luke on youtube swore that the pedestrian border closes down, or that CBP leaves a skeleton crew working and the lines grind to a halt right at 10 pm; and this last to 5 am.
