If you arrive outside of busy times, like Friday after work, you should be able to find free street parking at a few spots in San Ysidro.

Beyer Rd along the rail road track, North of Jack In Box, has free street parking behind the hotel. No street cleaning signs are seen, but cars are occasionally broken into. Just hide any valuables in the trunk.

Border Village Rd West of the KFC has street parkings but street cleaning is on something like Thursday morning. Tow operators kick back to San Diego parking officers and love to bleed you dry if cleaning restrictions are violated. Same goes for shopping malls. They will call tow trucks on suspicious vehicles.

Parking lot at the Burger King on S why Blvd has a sign $10 a day, but that lot is always full.

Find street parking in residential areas near trolley stops. Leave your car and walk or UBER to the trolley.

There's no real good options for parking overnight. The streets on usa side border filled with broken glass, many cats stolen driven into Tijuana. . A parked carat the trolley station needs to be void of anything to steal in it. If they see you put anything in the trunk you could get your windows popped. If you do 2 overnights you may not get a ticket. But I don't know how much the tickets are. You could get towed too that's $400. You could if real cheap, park in point loma san Diego take bus to trolley. For most people that's not worth the money savings. The trolleys a real pain in the ass. I just got back to San Diego, took trolley from old Town, within seconds a guy is sharpening his knives next to me, I'm concerned he's gona fall and stab me. A minute later he slices his own hand up bleeding. 3 of his hood friends get on, these were twitching street dudes. If one of them pulls knife on me or the tourist padre fans going to the game, nobody could do anything about it. This was the blue line. Best to not take blue line till imperial Ave when you have to. So yeah overall parking became a expensive pain maybe 5 years ago when they doubled all the prices.

I did my global entry in 3 weeks. What you have to do, is do it online, don't pay extra company or extra fast service. Just normal. Then. You need to be within driving distance of a Interview place. You don't need to fly. So, the day before when you feel like going, you will take the day off work, and spend a few hrs looking at your cell constantly every minute till a cancelled appointment opens up. Each time you make the appointment, say you cut it down from 1 year to 6 months then, then to 4 weeks, the. 3 days, then the next day. I did mine at LAX office 1 mile east of the airport free parking took ten minutes. They must do 400 appointments a day in that office. People cancel.

Many of us do this. There is a 24-hour limit.

You can Uber / taxi, no problem. But you will have to leave your ID at the front desk.

There is a store called Caroline's Shoes that only charges $10 per day. I think you can park there for 3 days maximum so $30. The parking is in the back of the store.

Here is a website that notifies you when appointments open. People cancel their appointments all the time and you can snake a close time if you are fast and lucky. When I applied, I was using a service that alerted me and was able to get my interview the next day at LAX.

Meaning the final interview. After you have preliminary approval, you get the final interview at any airport port of entry when you return to the US. You just tell the CBP you want the final GE interview and they direct you to a separate line. It took about 10 minutes. I don't know if you can do it at a land crossing.

The 5 wingmen all avoided the free Tequila shots at the door, cheap $8 a bottle, with bitter taste and strong Anejo cactus aroma. We went in drinking beers, watching strippers. The manager brought over a bottle of Don Julio 70, offering free shots. The cubic bottle of this fine Tequila sells for $50 in store and $150 in strip clubs. The wingmen hesitated but I urged them to try this good Tequila, each had a shot, knocking down 4-ozs of this slightly sweet, very flavorful but smooth and delicious Tequila. It tasted so good going down our throats. We all got a slight buzz with it.

The 5 free shots costed Chicago's manager about 1/3 of his bottle, $50 value in strip clubs. The bros all liked the delicious taste of that fine liquor, may soon be addicted. That was a very nice treat by Chicago's management. I tipped the manager generously for his treat. The bros may want to ask Chicago for this special treat of Mexican goodness.

Sunday us 4 piled into my car heading down to Tijuana, arrived before 1. One bro used to go down with me every weekend, but moved away and left the Tijuana scene for 5 years, had just moved back in So Cal. One bro could not escape out of the house since before CoVid.
