Posts: 2689It was a "WTF?" trip.
i got into hk around three and most of the booths were occupied, quite a few of them were occupied by asian tourists. wtf? what company organizes these damn tours? i saw a tour group come through the main entrance last friday. and hk charged each person in the group an entry fee. i got a kick out of that one.
scored a booth in the back that had an ac vent overhead because it was warm in there. it wasn't more than a minute when one of my favorites stopped by to say hello. she was also in a playful mood, so let the booth follies begin! i asked speedy if he had a camera, and he said no, and then he asked at least 6 other meseros, and they all said no. wtf? seven meseros with no cameras? but they all had that fucking cheese plate!
finally a mesero showed up with a camera, and shortly thereafter a few more showed up with cameras; go figure. speedy kept trying to get in the shots, but i told a did not want a picture of a maricóand. when we did finally sit up and after i licked my fingers, i noticed that we drew a crowd of about a dozen spectators. i looked at them and said,"no propina? wtf?"
on my way out of hk, i ran into guitarrefreak, and we headed to tropical. for whatever reason, tropical is trying something different. i like the place because of the music and dancing, but instead there was about 6-7 girls take the stage one after another, and stripped and danced on the pole, wth tropical? then after each dance, the girl was escorted around by the announcer and hitting us up for propinas. i broke out my,"such one nipple and touch that ass rule" if you want a buck. it worked!
ended up in the big vip room with a butt load of beers and screwdrivers, plus the girl of course. usually the only time someone knocks on the door as when you press a button for service that i think lights up something on the outside. or maybe the button sets off a high pitch noise that only meseros can hear; guess i'm not sure. anyhow, we are in the booth knee deep in passion and we hear a knock on the door. we both look and it's the fucking "snack bastard" and he is wanting to sell us snacks from his little snack selection basket! wtf? my guess is that he figured we must have worked up an appetite was just trying to help; bless his heart.
headed back over to hk and watched somewhat of a shift change. a lot of new faces, and many had nice asses to boot. i about ran out of dollar bills because there were so many new asses to play with. i figured i had enough wtf moments and didn't want to push my luck; so headed back around ten. even with the wtf moments, it was still a fun romp.

Sort of quiet around here, no posts for a couple of days. Is everyone down at the tequila expo getting sloshed? I checked it out and it was seemed smaller in area than last year but plenty of booths offering samples and a higher percentage of pretty hostesses. Probably a better selection than last year.
We had our share of tequila as well as some tacos. Worth the 70 pesos ($5. 30) entry fee.
It runs through Sunday but today will be the highest attendance.

Then if you go past 60 days without buying a prepaid card they cut your service off until you recharge it. Another pain.

1. You have to be a Mexican citizen. Call Telcel customer service. I think it is *3 but not sure. The phone must be in a Telcel service area. If you are in L. A. You are probably roaming on AT&T and I don't think you'll be able to reach customer service. Once you are in Mexico, call customer service. They will ask you the basic questions. Then they will ask for your citizenship number. Obviously, if you are not a Mexican citizen you won't have one. If you have a Mexican friend, you can have your friend use their citizenship number to activate you SIM card. As long as you have a citizenship number, your phone can be activated over the phone.
2. If you are not a Mexican citizen, you MUST go to a corporate owned Telcel store to activate your phone. There is one in Plaza Rio, a $3 cab ride away. There's actually 2 Telcel stores there. You must go to the big, huge one that is corporately owned. The other store is much smaller. They will ask you for your basic info. They will also require your passport. Good thing about Telcel is that you get to choose 3 favorite numbers (must be Telcel) that you can call / text for free.
And when you add minutes, do so at Oxxo or some other corporate store. The independent little shops might be tempted to rip you off. There is a small cell shop on Revolution, just south of Ticuan. I went there to add $10 each to two different phones. At the time, I should have received approx 137 pesos credit per phone. But the text I received indicated I only received 100 pesos. The shopkeeper, who's teeth looked like he was chewing on a bag of rocks, ripped me off. When I complained, he stated that Telcel uses a 10 to 1 ex-rate. I said no way is that possible and then he said they use 11. 5 to 1. He offered me back $2 when really he stole about 75 pesos which would be about $5. 50. I didn't want to sit and argue over $3. 50 so I just took the $2 and left. The next day, my cell didn't work so I went online to check my balance. It was less than 2 pesos. So that bastard must have canceled my credits that I paid for.

If that fails just agree to email each other. Internet cafes are all over TJ and cost next to nothing. Maybe it would be a good idea to open up a separate email account for chicas...just in case.

Guys, I don't know how to activate my Telcel sim. Can you guys give me some directions. I'm trying to activate it in Los Angeles. Do I have to go down to Mexico to do it? I want to use this card to text my girls while I'm in Mexico since my T-Mobile texting rates are crazy in Mexico!
