Planning my next trip with friends soon. Actually planning on hitting Rosarito for Spring Break and then last night or two at HK. But am considering coming down a few days early and staying in Tijuana beforehand and had some questions:

For people who have stayed at Hotel Ticun. Is it visitor friendly? Meaning, can I bring an escort back. I was looking at some nice Airbnbs, but they have no visitor policies. Additionally, do the staff at the hotel speak enough English so that I can get by without Spanish?

Ticuan no problem with a visitor as long as they have an ID. They will want to see and copy a visitors ID. I have heard of people having a problem bringing 2 girls at the same time. But the solution to that is a room with 2 beds. I think its an occupancy issue if you only have a single type room.

Yep. A couple Chinese airlines fly from LAX to BKK for as low as $400. Airfares to Asia look really good this year.

An A320 burns about 4,000 gallons of jet fuel an hour at $1. 80. So a 3 hour flight would cost more than $20,000 in fuel alone, yielding a gross profit about $50 K per flight before the plane lease payment, maintenance, landing fees, repairs, crew costs ect. Air Asia is one of the largest if not dominant regionals, and it has been losing money for decades.

When you return to the US, your business visa to the US, assuming with multiple entries, should allow you back.

I'd check with a professional. If you are not a citizen the rules get complicated. Having a visa alone is not a guarantee to USA. Bangkok is pretty cheap from LA and the cost of food and hotels is cheap as well. I love Amsterdam but it is on the more expensive side to fly and find hotels.
