Went out late at midnight.

I will say that the thought has crossed my mind in the past to move from the East Coast to the San Diego area, with only a small part of that having to do with easier access to Tijuana. Even without the benefits of Zona Norte the San Diego area stands on its own as a fantastic place to live so it's something I'll still consider.

San Jose / Silicon Valley is boring during weekdays. I am expecting San Diego to be a more pleasant on weekdays.

I have been rationalizing my planned move to San Diego. And the reasons are indeed far more than Zona.

I plan to enjoy Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Balboa Park, Embarcadero and seaport village, Westfield UTC & Coronado.

Zona is only about 30% of my reason to move to SD.

The majority is access to the beauty of San Diego & people watching at those locations.

I been going 2-3 times a month recently instead of 2-3 times a week. The straight up truth is I have an addictive personality and I don't like the fact that it became such an addiction, I was depending on those trips for my happiness. I have been this way with all of my bad habits, for me personally I get bored of things eventually, no matter what it is.

I been dating a Hong Kong girl and doing regular relationship things with her and those are my new fun. Yeah, I mean we're all different, but this how I suspect I'd feel if I moved to SD and went down to the Zona more frequently. "Bored" is probably the wrong word (as yes, the Zona is pretty much never boring) but really think it'd get old and that I'd get burned out after a while. As you've alluded to there's much more to life then chasing those putas. Kinda the same thing with Las Vegas. I've been frequenting Vegas several times a year for nearly 20 years now. Still enjoy going but over the past couple of years have become less enthused about making that trip. I've done everything there is to do out there and it's gotten a bit old at this point. And definitely feel I'd get burned out on Vegas if I actually lived there, as fun as it is to vacation there for a few days.

But again, we're all different. Have chatted with people both on this board and in person down in Tijuana that have been frequenting the Zona for almost as long as I've been alive. They seem to still be going strong and can't get enough LOL. I tip my hat to people like that but I suspect I won't be able to last that long. I guess we'll see. My advice is to rent an apartment on a month to month basis in case things go south and so you are not locked into a lease that you may want out of, which can happen very quickly with these women. And don't rent an expensive place at first, as you want to get to know this woman. In my experience, most bar girls I have met do not respond to text messages very well or even in a reasonable amount of time. So the fact that she is attentive here and in seeing you is a plus. Untrue. Or compared to what? Mexico is 59% fully vaccinated, while the US is 63%. Idaho is 47% fully vaccinated. Singapore is 93%.

I use to care way too much about women in relationships. Thats why I feel like I simp but I've changed. I swallowed the "red pill" if everyone knows what that means since my last break up. I'm way more assertive with women now, I don't put them on pedestals and even to this girl I have said no to some things. I now have boundaries I don't let women cross. In my experience, newbies to San Diego rent a place by the beach, then eventually realize the rent is too high. They then move to El Cajon for cheap rent. If you are moving to San Diego for access to Zona Norte, anywhere near a trolley station will work for you. El Cajon, La Mesa, Chula Vista or Santee all have trolley stations and reasonable rent. Suggest an apartment no more that 2 or 3 blocks walk from a trolley station, then spring for a monthly transit pass so you can take the trolley to the San Ysidro trolley stop and walk across to Tijuana.

I guess depending on where you are in life, but maybe you're younger than me and want something more than just arriba with the chicas. I'll be 50 in March I have been married, my kids are adults, I have been single for so long that I can't imagine being with someone and having to compromise with women near or my age and I got a great job that is allowing me to move to the San Diego area and remote work from there. I wanted to move there the first time I visited several years ago. It's the three W's for me Weed, Weather, and Women, as long as I can walk or drive over that border as I get older ill be mongering in Tijuana till death.
