I live in New York and would like to visit Tijuana. Tijanua was on my to do list even before the pandemic, and it is even higher on my list now simply because there are no other options available to me. I read in the recent posts here that a lot of guys are coming to Tijuana from the East Coast for similar reasons.

I have two questions pursuant to this goal:

1) Those of you that have been able to cross the border despite the official closure of the border to non-essential traffic. Were you on a day trip from Southern California, or did you have luggage with you for an overnight or extended stay? I understand that a lot of guys have been getting across by claiming that they have medical appointments, but I am wondering how credible such a claim would be if someone from New York shows up with luggage for a longer trip.

2) As you may have read, New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut are requiring people flying in from California and other states with high COVID-19 infection rates to quarantine themselves. What if any options are there to fly to and from Tijuana via Mexico City or other Mexican airports? Aeromexico is an option from New York, but the flights are ridiculously expensive. Viva Aerobus is another option at a more reasonable price, but it would require me to overnight in Mexico City in both directions.

Just fly into San Diego. If you don't want a suitcase rent a car I rented one for 20 a day with taxes. Actually what you really should do, is tell mexico you have your bag because you had no where to put it. Tell them you left your passport at friends house in LOS Angeles. Then they will charge you 20 to walk in. If you have the passport they are making you buy 6 month pass for 30.

With street girls or escorts, you can check their temperatures and general appearances, squeeze their boobs, grope the crotches to make sure they don't have symptoms before taking them to the hotel and pinning them down in bed.

Mingling and partying with 500 guys and girls in small rooms will increase the probability of picking up virus by 500 times.

Saturday I went to these bars, I didn't want to give details and ruin it for others. But since people keep writing about it, yeah Saturday ideas drinking so I was able to set aside coronavirus fears. I'll probably die if I get it due to health issues. But I spent like an hour half in the clubs not getting sick yet. Tuesday I only stayed 10 minutes because I wasnt drunk and all I thought about was how captain solo said we are gona get coronavirus LOL. There was a massive amount of chicks in hk hotel 5 chicks per guy on Tuesday. Hot ones too. But without the strip show you kinda have to buy girls drinks non stop or leave because theres nothing to look at. Azul is open though so that's something to do.

It's been a few years since I've been back to Tijuana, so I'm heading there next week. I usually use dollars, but this time going to put my Schwab card to good use and withdrawal pesos, what's the usual limit on the ATM machines? I do plan to make multiple withdrawals, but not all on one day as it may raise a fraud alert (happened to me before in Colombia and Brazil, was burning through cash, but well worth it!) Ill still have dollars as backup of course. thanks.

Just be sure to use one of the ATMs at an HSBC or something. I've had several friends have their cards swiped from the ATMs in and around Tijuana.

Well. Take 100 guys in a survey and you would get some variation. I would bet 1/4th are a bit nerviness about it. Sounds crazy but I was thinking about connecting up with a street girl I have done before in the past before covid. But I was going to ask her if we both wear masks etc. Could do a little doggy style.

I wouldn't spend a lot of time in the "bar rooms" that they have setup. So yes. Do care a lot about social distancing.

I am probably the exception but there are a few that care I bet.

Do you guys really think that guys that bang hookers in Tijuana care about social distancing. LOL. You guys are funny.

The card is good to go, just would like to know which ATM spots allow the highest withdrawal and usually what is the maximum amount? So I can gauge how many times I'll need to hit up the ATMs during my stay. I'll be in Hotel Ticuan, so I'm going to assume there's an ATM near there or on site.

I'd assume most Atms are different, just call Schwab and tell them before and you should be good. I'll be doing the same thing next week LOL.

Hey all,

I have been searching google and the forum but I was hoping to get accurate pricing info for the paid parking lot behind jack in the box at San Ysidro border. The way things change who knows what the current price is. I have driven into Tijuana before so might do that, but was wanting to compare cost of car insurance vs parking for a couple nights and walking over. I know the big lot is pricey. I paid about $100 for a couple of nights recently and I'm hoping to avoid that scenario again, if possible. Thanks for any info.

You can find them on Yelp but usually around $12 per 8 hrs. last I checked. Call to find out.

Ah. Guess I am not surprised but that's probably why their numbers are low.

Vietnam is closed for travelers. The Philippines is closed to all foreign travelers right now. Citizens and residents are allowed back but subject to 14-day quarantine. Tough luck if they would open up by Thanksgiving. I don't know any decent mongering country still open to visitors.

Meanwhile you can still sneak into Tijuana via San Diego.

Wow. Great details Clam. Thanks for taking the time to write it out. Really gives a good perspective on what is going on.

If I did go down I would probably just wander around to see it all. Then get the street girl I have done a few times and just take her Cascadas. Would not spend much time in the higher risk areas to decrease my risk of virus load etc.

Would like to go to Azul's and sit out on the balcony. Wonder if it's open?

I visited the Zona a handful of days this past week. Most of what I write here will reflect the weekend experience.

I have zero interested in SG so this will be brief. They're out there still in decent numbers considering what's going on. I'd say 60%-70% of usual capacity. The weekends were closer to 70%.

Chicago Club: Parts of Hotel Jalos have been converted to a makeshift bar. Prices were $4/ beer and $9 ficha, which are $1 more than normal. There were a couple rooms that appeared to be former suites that were larger than normal quarters. One room had a stripper pole and DJ. It was very dark in there and you could barely see the chicas. I'd say maybe 12-15 in that room. There were a handful of other regular small rooms available for lounging. But you kinda feel uncomfortable going into a small room with a bed in it if there are already other mongers present. You feel like you are intruding in their private room. But of course it's not their private room but it just feels like it. I didn't feel comfortable doing anything more than poking my head in to take a look. The corridor on the lower floor was lined with chicas sitting in seats. Maybe 20-25 seated there. And another 35-45 scattered throughout the rooms above. Quality was dismal. CC normally would only have 2-3 hot girls working on any given night. Didn't see anyone I'd rate above a 6.

Adelita Bar's Hotel Coahuila was converted to a makeshift bar just like Chicago Club. Except AB's layout was worse. There were no large suites opened up. Just maybe 15-20 small rooms with beds. Again, felt very uncomfortable barging into a small room that was already occupied..

Yes Cap! This makes so much sense to close down Coahuila and turn it into a pedestrian street. Hell they can do it in Little Italy in San Diego.

Coahuila is Perfect to shut down as there is no "essential" traffic that needs to go thru the alley.

The one problem is you will have competing sound systems that could be a nightmare. But they should at least try this on a small scale. If anyone should have pull to do this it would be those who own these clubs!!

Think about it. Open it up to a few more food vendors. It could be great!

The downside is if they do this. More gringo's will come down and perhaps they are worried about this effect?

Other issues is you have all these beautiful girls from HK and at some of the other bars well. Maybe not quite as hot so not sure how to address that. Guess they need to hire a few more hot girls!

Anyway. They need to do this!

Wow. Clam risked himself and really came through for the bros with his detailed report on the current operating modes of La Zona's bars.

Tijuana city hall should close off car traffic on Coahuila, the alley (Callejon Coahuila) and the streets around the bar block, make them into pedestrian streets, and allow the bars to place tables, chairs and umbrellas on sidewalk and create enough room for social distancing for people to party, protect public health, have fun, live a life, make their living for their families, save their businesses during this horrible pandemic, at least until it clears up. If the bars' owners, workers, their families and friends, party girls and guys ect gang together and petition city hall and local politicians, it can happen quickly. This arrangement is already being allowed in many cities in So Cal. Even churches in California are conducting services out in their parking lots.

A few more weeks of close quarter partying will create an extreme health crisis for Tijuana and spread to other cities when the chicas go home. It will destroy a lot of families and businesses. The bars' owners have a lot of connections and pulls with local authorities and politicians and they can do it. Perhaps El Presidente Andrs Manuel Lpez Obrador and the governor of Baja California Norte could reason with local politicians for the good of the general public.

One room had a stripper pole and DJ. It was very dark in there and you could barely see the chicas. I'd say maybe 12-15 in that room.
