Wasn't sure where to put this but here we go. I've had tremendous success picking up women in SE Asia, especially Philippines, just by chatting them up in the shopping malls there. Any such luck to be had in Tijuana? I'm not really into the bar scene at all and places like Hong Kong are pretty much the opposite of what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance for any advice. Attached is a sample of the type of girl one can easily score in the malls of Cebu or Manila.

Do we still have to pay $30 for a short term 7 day FMM?

Posts: 1459Calle revolucion price increase again.
Last week the price of my hotel on revolucion went up another 5 dollars a day. So I looked at my 2nd 3rd choice hotels and they went up again. I decided to stop staying at these hotels as much. Maybe 1 day a week instead of 4. I'm just not seeing the value at this point. I can stay in San Diego hotels that I can park for free at in beautiful neighborhoods like encinitis for 55 to 65 dollars a night. I do believe its the flood of migrants needing the hotels. A guy from Africa said the USA makes them stay in Tijuana for 35 days once they walk to the border and ask to enter USA. I found him a 12 dollar hotel that normally only go to on Saturday nights when I miss the trolley.

Is paying $30 still required for a short term FMM? Or the 7 day FMM is again free?

Your buddy will need a prescription to purchase valium in Mexico. My recommendation is to have him go to a pharmacy such as Farmacia Similares, where he can get a consultation from a doctor on the premises for around 5 dollars. He will need to convey why he needs the valium and chances are that the doctor will write him a prescription enabling him to purchase the valium there or at any other pharmacy. Upon returning back to the USA, he will just need to declare the valium and show the prescription. Hope this helps.

Well looks like from the news today they have gotten the migrants to move and are starting to clean up the old camp. So I'd imagine at least by the end of the month it being open again to cross.

Posts: 6522FAA 8-hour bottle to throttle
FAA airmen handbook requires minimum 8-hour bottle to throttle rule for both private and commercial pilots. 12 hours is way too strict. FAA may revoke pilots' certificates after three convictions for DUI / DWI moving violations within three years, if the states cooperate and provide conviction records. You will lose your state driver's license way before that.
Got to admit flying in instrument MC, in older planes without automation, requires a lot of mental alertness and hard work. Unless fully alert, pilots will likely make fatal mistakes. I was flying single instrument pilot in a high-performance twin to LAX early in the morning after a long trip, without a couple cups of coffee to wake up. Ceiling was 10 K overcast, broken layers down to 800 feet. LA approach control vectored me around the basin and put me in various holding patterns to sequence for the ILS approach. Man, that was mentally taxing early morning after a long trip. Without the new HSI and moving map, I had no idea where I was after so many turns until I finally got on the localizer beam. Don't recommend drunk or sleepy flying in busy approach areas like LAX or NY Kennedy.
I don't think CHP uses radar speed detectors anymore. They all use LIDAR gun day or night time, triggering quick bursts of laser. How will you detect and avoid those? The old K, Ka and X- band radar detectors are useless. They also follow cars and use LIDAR to confirm speed.
I did find a CHP on the left side of freeway, aiming a LIDAR gun at me from about half mile away. He nailed me so was clambering into his patrol car to chase. I stepped on the gas and quickly got off the exit a mile down the road, parked the car among hundreds in a shopping mall hehe. He drove around the parking lot looking but not finding. Sorry officer. I was patiently waiting for you and your ticket but you just did not show up hehe.

Speeding. Ya I do it. But.
https://store.valentine1.com/Store/item.asp?i=20020. *Cheaper than a 90 mph ticket with fees*.
Use a few simple rules of highway observation, and a -good- radar detector and *knock on wood* no speeding tickets in 15 yrs since I started using one. CHP Ka band I can pick up nearly 3/4 mile away on even winding roads if its pointed in your path, way more on open road. Few use X band in any state anymore, and then its few counties in those states that do. Etc.
Laser just means pull over and be polite if it goes off. Which never has. So far. *knocks on more wood*.

On the drive back from Tijuana over the last 5 years after midnight, I have been pulled over twice by policias at the alcohol check point on Benito Juarez right at the intersection where it splits into 3 ways into the medical lane. They usually do it on Friday night with a couple nurses sitting in a truck nearby. I had 3 or 4 beers in 4 hours, blew into their test kit and passed. I think their limit is very low, 0. 04% BAC compared to 0. 08% in California. Each time a couple cars with Mexican guys got nailed, cars impounded, wives and kids waited on sidewalk.
Have also been pulled over by CHP 3 times near the I5/805 intersection, given breath test and walk test. Each time I passed DUI tests, but was nailed for speeding and reckless driving. Hell, everybody was doing 90+ MPH on freeway late at night, why pick on me? Lucky I passed the DUI.
A noob had a DUI 5 years ago, got rejected for Global Entry. He said punishments are harsh if they catch him again with any alcohol in his system on the road. He would probably face mandatory jail time. Damn. This noob can drink. I told him to go ahead and drink, we would drive him home. He had a good time drinking and groping girls hehe. I understand CBP would overlook DUIs for GE and SENTRI after 10 years, but who knows what they would do.
Another noob would drink all night, stay until 5 AM, falling down on the street. 2 guys had to shoulder him back to the car, drove him a long way back to where he parked, only a couple miles from his home. I suggested he book UBER home and come back the next day to pick up the car but he insisted to drive his high-performance car home. He should know cops in suburban towns have nothing to do late at night and they watch cars on their streets like hawks. Just a little weaving would piss them off. They would make up all sorts of probable causes to pull cars over to check. That night he would definitely get nailed for DUI if pulled over, or run into something on the way home. Lucky he got home safe, but I wish he would never push his luck again just so he can party with the girls and wingmen every week.
Be careful, be safe, stay alive, live free to have fun with hot girls.

Even with my other paperwork, cards.
They eventually let me in, no FMM required either.
