Business had me in San Diego for over 2 weeks, which gave me lots of time to hit Zona Norte. Some has already been written, here is a little more.

During the daylight hours I normally walk to Zona Norte from the boarder and I recommend it. I walk pretty fast and for me it is 35 minutes from the UETA lot to Hong Kong. During some of my walks I would stop at the shops along the way. If I bought something there were extras offered; prescription drugs, weed, and girls were typically offered. I felt safe during the daytime walk, but I would not try it after dark. The worst part was the walk over the Tijuana river because the smell was so bad and I didn't appreciate listening to the people that live under the bridge yelling up at me.

Renting a room in Cascadas is pretty normal for most of us, and I'm no exception. I started out renting a room for the day, then I switched to renting a clean room for each girl. There are 2 problems renting a room for the whole night. First, you only get 2 towels with the rental. A few months ago I would ask the cum boys for more towels or to straighten up the room and they would happily do it for a $3 to $5 tip. This trip the cum boys asked me to arrange it through the front desk; I don't remember what they charged for clean towels but I didn't appreciate it. And, I still had a messed up room. Check closer. Google Translate is certainly downloadable. Once you download the language packs of your choice it no longer requires an Internet connection. I use it constantly.

Checked in at the Ticuan about 2:30 and my favorite room was available as usual. Did the ATM bank thingy with my great Charles Schwab card; loving that card.
