The strip club (with the most butt-ugly girls I'd ever seen) has been gone for years. Caesars is now a top notch restaurant.

What's the best menu items there and is it expensive like Cali. I plan on staying there since its 27 a night but I still haven't had a response on if they charge extra for girls.

I received an E mail from Bar Tropical, it seems they are having a costume contest tommorow and first place is a Toyota Rav 4. Wow thats a pretty good prize for a silly costume contest. Does anybody think a gringo pimp named Sleazy Steve or any of us in an elaborate costume could win. Or since it is Mexico, the winner will more likely be the Police Chiefs daughter, or a relative of the bar owner. (Hmmm just thinking out loud).

For me, staying at the Ticuan is part of what makes the trip down to Tijuana so enjoyable. Having a nice cool room, a bar in the hotel, a safe, a restaurant for room service when I am too hungover the next day, and the safe / conveinent location are well worth the $60 / night. I have always gotten a master suite but this next trip I've booked an inside business room hoping to escape some of the noise from Pulgas.

On a side note I'll be down there thurs (halloween) and Friday. If you see a couple young (ish) gringos dressed in pimp costumes and grinning ear-to-ear feel free to say hello.

Is hotel Ceasars the same place as the strip club called Cearars from 2003. What happened to the strip club from back then if it is the same.

As far as hotle goes I would like budget but with ac and fairly safe.

Like many others on here I also prefer the Hotel Ticuan, but have stayed a few times at the Hotel Caesars on Revo. It's a budget option, clean and safe, and easy walk up to the zona bars in the evening.

I just checked Caesars website. They are 350 pesos a night which is 27 a night! (don't know if they charge tax) Thats seems like the best deal I'm going to get and if I can save on cab fare to and from HK that would be sweet. I will get a single. Can I have guests up there w / o extra charge. I don't want to worry about hustles from security or bellman.

What are the weekday prices of these:

America.

Zaragoza.

Caesars.

Espana.

All 4 of these have ac I assume. Ticuan is about 60 a night so we might have to start posting about other places that have ac.

Does anyone have experience staying at any of the hotels on revolution street as you're walking from las plugas to downtown where HK is. I noticed, when I was there last time, they had a few hotels on both sides of the street, but I never checked the rooms for prices or star level. They looked good from the outside. I planned on checking my last day, but never got around to it. It would be nice to stay for 35 a night with no extra for guests if the rooms are nice. I know its tough to beat ticuan but the prices are getting higher there.

The Hotel Espana is a good choice. The rooms have a / see (and I think the unit also provides heat). They are clean and the price is reasonable. It's been a while, but IIRC they have double beds, maybe queens but certainly not kings. No room safe. The receptionist lady used to have an attitude, but if you escort your guests in and out you'll have no problems.

The question you need to ask yourself is what ammenities you need. Very few have heat or AC so that alone disqualifies several for me.

La Villa de Zaragoza.

Hotel America.

Are the only ones that fit this description as fas as I know. If anyone can add to the list please do.

Tijuana is loaded with hotels. If you are willing to be a little distance away from the zona there are tons of options for $40 and under.

From my experience a guest poilicy in these places depends on how you negotiate. I always opt for the straight forward approach and say that I will have a gust visitng me now and then. I mention that they will leave their I'd at the reception until they leave the premises.
