Line is usually a lot smaller. Sometimes close to non-existent. At Las Chavelas next door. Very easy to walk in to HK through Las Chavelas since they're connected. That's what I usually do when I see a long line.

There's a back door to Hong Kong too. I've never waited in line more then 3 minutes. That side street to walk to the back, on the west side, has turned into crap. Don't go. Besides no more sidewalk like the whole area the tacos and vendors are moved elsewhere and there's no girls and I saw the national guard or army or something arresting someone. Better to walk on the east side.

Made a trip last night. Couldn't find a parking spot at anywhere of my usual places which I think is the first time it's ever happened to me. Maybe due to Halloween parties? Said fuck it and parked by the border for $12, parking lot behind jack in the box. Was out and about from 3-11:30 on Saturday. First pass thru HK the doorman asked me to put cell phone and keys and money in the basket. I sung him the Meatloaf song "two out of three ain't bad LOL) and passed true the detector which went off on me. Asked me to empty pockets and surprisingly the condom I was carrying had triggered the alarm. Metal wrapper maybe or they are controlling the outcome. Kept my three wads of money in my hand. I usually go down wearing clothing with at least six pockets. $1&5 bills for tips and beers. $10-20 bills for fiches and arriba bills in another. Also be ware on the USA side. I park one rail stop up and do the ride in due to weekend fees to park at border. It's free and faster than queuing up for 15 minutes to get thru the cluster f&#k of the Jack Box lots and it's $12-18 per 8 hrs on weekends. Got back to metro around midnight and home safe. I have an upscale car but make sure I leave the glove and console compartments open to show that there is nothing to steal.

Few quick points / highlights from yesterday's adventure.

Joined a meetup group earlier in the day "Tijuana Walking Tours" where a nice local Tijuana guy "Lin" generously takes folks around Tijuana to interesting places. Visited a graveyard, lunch at a good restaurant and Norte Brewing Company (which has a GREAT view of Tijuana and the red light district) from the third floor (see pic).

One of the older guys on the tour was taking pictures of everything and he mistakenly took a picture of some young kid who was just drawing some picture on the street and her parents threw a bit of a fit, the police were called and they made him delete the picture. (the guy is lucky they didn't throw him in jail). I forgot about this law in Mexico as there are a few that will cause problems if your unaware of them.

Also the meetup group was so large that a few people got separated from the group and ended up walking back to downtown from the restaurant through the Red Light District! (they walked through those blocks that we never walk through knowing it's not good). Why they didn't just get in a cab is beyond me!! Just plain stupid..

I do like the beers in Tijuana. Had hit Norte a few times but unnerving walking up the spiral parking garage w cars buzzing by. Tried the stairwell on the north side but after the climb we found out that emergency exit was welded shut! No way out but back doing the spiraling car way and would hate to have one catch fire without another way out.

I had some plans for something in LA area Friday night, but it kind of fell apart when I didn't get out of work until much too late. Faced with a need for a room, I decided to just go straight to Tijuana late that night rather than waiting to go Sat lunchtime, since a room there is only $50 nightly (Adelitas' Coahuila hotel, which is a good medium of value, comfort and convenience, as long as it's not over 90 degrees out). While touring the area after getting the room, I found Ames in the Alley, seen her before, she's really good, but she's alcoholic and won't just make a deal upfront, there's far too much pausing and her saying "I need another twenty". Still, well worth it. Made me go in one of the "Oro" bars opposite Valentina for a quick beer first, then wanted to order beer from the cum boys too. I'll make sure to have something on hand for her ahead of time next time, last time I saw her she had her own little bottle of vile tequila. Nice big titties, full GFE and all holes available.

As promised I did trip #2 on 10/29 and I was more adventurous. I walked the alley many times, went into the smaller bars in the alley, which was a complete waste of my time. Did not go into HK at all this trip as there was a line of guys at the door all evening. Did have dinner at Azul, seafood pasta which was excellent and inexpensive.

There seemed to be a 40% cost of living increase across the board, taxis wanted $7 instead of $5 got them down to $6. Girl as Adelita's opening bid was $140 instead of $100, but I got her down to $100 and received meh service from her.

Took a walk around Chicago at about 9 pm all the girls in costumes, looked like the Twitty Twister from Dawn to Dusk.

I think I will spend more time in Tropical next week and see how that works for me.

Came to Tijuana to see the Halloween customes. Revolucion not as many as I expected. 10 yrs ago was in Miami and by accident was out and saw a lot. The chicas said Sunday is more of a Halloween day. Is there any I should go to and any to avoid at all costs?

The only small bar you should be going in alone is Gloria bar. You may pick one thatvi don't even go in and I jump in many of them when I need a quick 2 beers for 4 dollars. The rest of the bars there's nothing to find that's not in Chicago or gloria.
