I know much of this has already been written but I feel that I need to write it my way so that others like me will just stop reading and get their asses down there. I was intrigued for the same reasons as many others, but I had some concerns. The things that stopped me from going before this were: 1-It seemed like a hassle to actually get there. 2-I speak pretty much zero Spanish. 3-Even though I don't subscribe to the theory that everything you hear is true, there was still part of me that said, 'what if Tijuana really is that dangerous'? And 4-Are the girls really that hot? So without further ado, I'll address these points.

Getting There.

I know there is a tremendous amount of variability but I'd say it took about 30 minutes from the time I parked my car until the time I arrived at Cascadas. I chose to drive to the Jack in the Box parking lot that many other have recommended. The only hiccup was when I realized there were two Jack in the Box's listed on San Ysidro Ave. The one closest to the border is the right one. Parking was $7 for 8 hours and the guy made sure to specify that if I go one minute over 8 hours, it's another $7. Fair enough. $7 doesn't get you anywhere near 8 hours in downtown San Diego. Once I got out of the parking lot, like many others have said there is no big 'THIS WAY TO MEXICO' sign. The simplest way I can explain it is to just walk along the train tracks towards the border and you'll catch up with the crowd. From there, it's an interesting and sort of long but not impossible walk. I was expecting it to be a lot worse, but its got enough twists and turns to be interesting.

One thing I want to mention here is that if the thought of driving this close to the border or finding the right lot scares you, just take the train. The Blue Line literally stops at the border. I'll likely do that the next time I go down. Tomorrow? Haha.

Back to the action. At some point you are with the pack headed for Mexico so you just have to follow the masses. You'll know it once you're in Mexico.
