There was a time when I would have never even considered spending the night in Tijuana. But the Ticuan is a gem I have never had any kind of problem there.

But if you must stay in San Ysidro the Rodeway Motel on San Ysidro Blvd, looks about the nicest from the outside and it is a short walk to the border. However I would at least compare the rate there to the Ticuan. Weekdays at the Ticuan are a bit over $50, slightly higher on weekends. You save money by booking online. But I'am not sure about the cost of the Rodeway.

As far as weather in December you just never know. It could be hot and sunny or cool with chance of rain. Best to check a couple days before you make your trip.

Hugo, the only reason I want a room is for one night. Basically I plan on staying in Tijuana upon arrival. But I'm thinking of booking a room in San Ysidro for the night I fly back. Which will be Monday morning. This way I can cross back late Sunday night and not deal with huge lines Monday morning. I figure this way I can get a better sleep and not worry about potential issues crossing back the day I leave.

On that note I am booking a room at the Ticuan. For 2 nights and was considering Cascadas for one of the nights. Just to see the difference. I read here that Cascadas only accepts cash. Is this true? Does Ticuan take Credit Cards? I'd hate to spend cash on Hotels.

Also, I know it's pricy but I think I am going with a Master Suite. Figure I might as well enjoy myself. But is there a big difference on the master suite from just a jacuzzi room? Apart from the fridge and safe?

One last note, how do you guys go about getting phones in Mexico for temporary use? I really want to take a separate phone out there to make calls to say escort services or even if I meet a chica and want to communicate. To answer your question the Ticuan is monger friendly. If you are headed up to the room with the girl there will be no questions asked, and no need to sign her in or her I'd checked or anything like that. If she comes to the hotel without you, she will only need your room number or name, and the front desk will call your room to make sure you are expecting her.

The only drawback is you are not going to find any bar girls or SG's who are going to want to travel from the zona to the Ticuan for a 20 or 30 minute session, unless you are offering huge amounts of cash. But as far as TLN or escorts most zona girls who offer TLN are more than happy to get out of the zona and stay at a nice place.

The thing I like best about the Ticuan is its located right next to Las Pulgas, so if you want to make your encounter more of a date you can go drinking and dancing and your room is right there. I even found a door that connects the hotel to Las Pulgas, the only problem is its never open.

Down to our last day on Monday, Oct 15. This day was a little bit more tamer as it started out with having to find a little dough for my mongering starved friend. Desk crew at the Ticuan were very polite and helpful, which is one of the many reasons they will receive my business in the future. They point me in a direction of an ATM that dispenses dollars. For any of you that are wondering there is one at LAS PULGAS, which is kitty corner from The Ticuan. You start out going left opposite side of the massage parlor, than make another left about a 100 feet and you'll see the sign for Las Pulgas and the sign for the ATM. After a minor hiccup I'm able to recover the cash. We spend another day in the Ticuan bar eating, drinking and we take in the Monday night football game. Thanks to Peyton Manning we win a little more money, after thinking it was a lost cause. One more time off to the HK. Antonio sees us grabs our booth and drinks. I decide after the shaving cream show starts that we need a photographic memory so we get a couple picks with lathered up lady. I awake our crew hoping to check in and come back to the Ticuan in time to enjoy a day of football, booze and excellent food as the gambler and myself have a decent amount of money riding on a lot of games. After a short cab ride we arrive at The Cascades eagerly awaiting the night ahead as I assume from some of the posts on her suggest that some of the ladies stay here while working. We come to our first disappointment of the day, I get to the check in counter and I'm expecting to have 2 reservations for the master suites. To my surprise when I tell the desk guy about my reservation he gives me a look like I just told him his mother died and says he has nothing under my name. I know first hand I definately made a reservation and can show him the confirmation email from my friend's phone. This man will have none of that and replies he only has a reservation for The Toymaker, but says he has a jacuzzi room available if I want to check it out. I check out the room and it's to my satisfaction so we agree. The total of the 3 rooms for Sunday and Monday night was to be 410 usc. I agreed with my friends that I would put charges on my see / see as one friend is married and the other doesn't have one. When I slap down the old see / see I once again get that dumbfounded look from the clerk, who states sorry no credit card only cash. The Toymaker grabs our bags and heads up to our room as the The Gambler and myself head to the resturant bar to enjoy football and libations. After a successful day of gambling on football and enjoying another mexican combination platter, Tortilla soup, appetizers and mucho mucho cervezas our bill comes to a whopping 85 usc. You can't beat meals for three and at least a half of case of dos equis for that prize. Now it's time to play, seemed like the HK club was the main theme of this trip, which I had no problem with but next time I set out to explore a little more.

Arrive at the HK club around 930pm, it's definately less crowded than yesterday, but still plenty of tail to be had as well as people watching. I only post this in the general reports section as I'll encompass the entire trip. I start from the beginning sat, oct 16. My friend picks me up at home kind enough to give me a ride to the airport. The food was on par with some awesome resturants and with plenty of drinks, appetizers, meal and tip the bill came out to 60 usc, fuking awesome! We all agreed a nap may have been in order but I said to hell with that, I've got a buzz and a second wind time to take my Newbie friends to our first ride in Disney, the Hong Kong club.
