I have read quite a few reports about the possibility of having relationships with chicas. I want to share my personal experience and thoughts.

I met a beautiful woman in Adelitas several years ago. She was absolutely stunning looking. We saw each other for about 8 years. She was the most loyal, sweetest woman I have ever met in my life. I have yet to meet an American women that can hold a candle to this woman in terms of loyalty, caring and sweetness.

Here is the reality. I couldn't stand going to see her in AB if she were working. Whenever she saw me in the bar, she would refuse to be seen with other men, showing absolute respect for me. I couldn't stand her working in AB anymore and started giving her a couple hundred dollars a week to help her with rent and her three women. This was done with the understanding that she would get a real job outside of prostitution. She went to beauty school and got a certificate to cut hair. She was extremely excited. Unfortunately, the places where she worked had little business and she made about $1. 00 per haircut totaling about $5. 00 per day. She then went to work in a factory but could only make $60. 00 per week, which obviously couldn't pay her rent, food, etc. She then went to work at Famsa, which is a well known store where people can purchase applicances, furniture, etc. On credit. Unfortunately, she worked on commission and couldn't make more thatn $40. 00 per week.

The bottom line is that she went from one job to the next, thinking that the next one would be the ticket. Unfortunately, due to the crappy economic condition of Mexico and lousy pay, etc. This girl could not make enough to live on her own. This resulted in me picking up the tab for many years. Of course this included buying her a car at about $7, 000 that broke down after about 6 months, paying hospital bills for her and her children. And the story goes on and on.

It is very difficult for Mexican women, especially such as her, without a high school diploma to get any legitimate, decent paying job in Mexico. That's just the way it is. They hire young, pretty 18 year olds to work as waitresses, in grocery stores, etc. Before they will hire any older woman. It's just a sad, pitiful reality that will never change. She was banned from coming to the US as she was deported three previous times.

So, to sum it up, I hope this gives you a good idea as to how difficult things can be if you think about having a relationship.

Joe, you're obviously right that HDS is less money than Ticuan. I stayed at HDS 6 times before switching and I noticed the following: noise from outside, minor concerns about safety (it just takes one time) , uncomfortable beds that burst with static electricity when the lights are off (pretty startling when it's late at night) , and being forced to show up in person, leave a deposit and pay cash. Conversely, at Ticuan, I rarely hear noise (depends if your room is on the low floor and facing Revolucion) , completely safe feeling, comfortable and clean beds / towels, and accepting reservations online by credit card. Also, Ticuan has excellent, cheap room service, restaurant, and a decent lounge-like bar for watching both Football and Fútbol. Even with an additional cost of 325 pesos, I still think it's a better value for me. But everyone prioritizes and weighs things differently, so I wasn't trying to argue with you. By the way, thanks for all your contributions, they have been helpful on several occasions.

Let me explain my post. To many the Ticuan is better value and if I hung out at Las Pulgas or Amnesia I would probably stay there. Someone on the board had asked where there was a good hotel real close to the action. IMHO the best hotel close to the action for me is Hacienda Del Santiago for many reasons, so I answered that post with my recommendation (which had nothing to do with "value"), which was immediately responsed with the Ticuan was a great value because the peso / dollar ratio is so good now. My post was a response to that because based upon the statement that the value was due to the peso / dollar ratio. 325 pesos is in fact better than 650 pesos.

I agree full heartedly that the Ticuan is a much nicer hotel with nicer beds and towels and everything else. But I drive into Tijuana when I go there. Sometimes from the USA and sometimes from the toll road from Mexicali. HDS has safe guarded parking and I have never had a problem there. I take many afternoon shift women from AB, HK and especially from Chicago to my hotel when they get off work and they spend a few hours or all night with me. I like to take naps in the day (as I am an old fart) and I like to make several passes through the clubs during all times of the day and night. I don't want to be taking that many taxis and I certainly don't want to walk back and forth from 8th street and the action area that many times a day (once again I am an old fart) which would probably be more dangerous than the one block walk from HDS.

Most of the rooms in HDS have kitchettes which gives me a place to keep my beer / tequila cold and a stove to light when it gets cold. Ten minutes of full burners and the room is nice and toasty and the women love it! I can sleep through anything so the noise is not an issue for me. And after spending some time in HK the "noise" outside of HDS (mostly Mariachi music) doesn't seem very loud to me. The staff at HDS have gotten to know me and they treat me pretty darn good.

Once again if I hung out at Las Pulgas or Amnesia or New Body. The Ticuan would be a better value for me.

The America Plaza is closed for a while. I think their estimate was the end of December, but with construction delays happen.

If you take the 992 instead of using America Plaza walk over to the San Diego Station of Amtrak. You can catch the trolley there. If you choose you can also walk past America Plaza to the next station which I think is "C", although it is shorter distance to use the Amtrak station.

I have just returned from Medellin, Colombia. Oh lordy, it is a destination that all mongers should consider, especially those of us who enjoy the Latina's. DDG women with total GFE type services.

I'm taking the weekend off since I just returned, and have a company party, but look forward to my return to Tijuana the weekend of the 10th. Anyone wanting to have a drink, or newbie's that would feel better with a wingman, let me know.

Stay out of Nana Entertainment Plaza!

Why? I've had many great times there. I do prefer Soi Cowboy because it's for the most part raunchier and the girls are less expensive (in general, not every case) , but Nana can be fun. I like hanging out and having a beer in the early evening as the bar girls are coming to work, and doing their offerings / prayers at the shrine. Pharaoh's used to be a great spot for that, but now it's those new color bars. Bangkok (and more so Pattaya) offers a lot of variety, that's part of the wonder of LoS. I'm back there in 8 days for 3 weeks of debauchery. I'm just hitting Tijuana for warm ups to get myself ready! I might need one more warm up trip down there before I depart. I will resists a Thailand v Tijuana comparison though. And sorry to go off topic some but all I'm thinking about is getting back there.
