Does anyone know how long the wait is in the pedestrian crossing around from 4-7pm? I crossed back over in late June / July and people were lined up all the way back past the pedestrian bridge to where the street ends. It takes roughly about a 1 hour to cross.

Last time I crossed, a couple of weeks ago, mid-week, the line was all the way to the end, and then it doubled back for a 20 or 30 yards.

But it moved quickly, and I was through the whole thing in just about an hour.

Weekends are probably worse.

Only one hour for your crossing, you were fortunate. It has been about 2 hours the last couple of times I crossed on weekend afternoons. I've stopped doing that and no longer go back and forth across the border during the those times, I just stay down there until late night.

Good news is the dollar is appreciating.

The Leyva hotel now has free wifi.

For those interested, there is a pregnant girl working out of Monitos who is fair skinned and cute.

The tacos at the corner of Coahuila and Constitution are as good as any in the zona and you can take two of 'them, pile on the complimentary beans, salsa and jalapenos, etc. Ask for a spoon and you have a meal for 2 bucks.

The best value for a roast pork taco has to be at the flea market on weekends. They just pile on the meat and you almost feel guilty for I think 8 pesos each. You will be waiting in line behind the locals.

Oh I forgot the most important part, I killed tacos tonight. Unfortunately a lot, and it wasn't mermaids it was Maria Bonita I think. $140 total I barely negotiated, what's even worse is I think I screwed her last time too. I actually was just walking around town and thinking about last night, I wasn't hammered but I was buzzed and really picky. 1st night kind of blew. In the bad way. It wasn't the worst night ever but it wasn't a night that I will put down in the record books. I crossed the border around 730 checked into Tiquan and was at New Body at 8. No girls there finally two came down one was super hot probably one of the hottest girls of the night. But she was done working. So then took a taxi to HK, drank some beers stopped in almost every bar and only saw one girl I kind of liked and she didn't seem into it so I figured why waste the money. Then I gave up and walked to Las Pulgas, damn that place is huge, but I felt I needed a wingman, there were just too many dudes there I think definetely has potential but I'm a puss. So finally went to mermaid or whatever across from Tiquan and I think I screwed a girl I screwed on the last trip, can't be positive but I'm pretty sure. right on flange. i'm in the bay area myself and had been planning on an escapade for my birthday to tijuana. it seems that all immediate homies are bitchin' out because of x, y, z reason. as other forum members have wisely said, sometimes one has to be the lone wolf. if you have to wait for company, you'll never leave the block; that's a fact of life. we can plan ahead as much as possible, but at the end of the day, like nike "just do it". you have restored my confidence about the voyage, i was debating on escorts and will probably try that as well, but those clubs (hk, cc, lc) mentioned will have to be conquered, no doubt about it; at least worth a peek. i'll be there by the end of october, if you're there and need a wingman, hit me up beforehand. peace.
