    Trabajando por un Mejor Tijuana

Trabajando por un mejor Tijuana, Roughly translated "Working to make a Better Tijuana".

So eastside Constitution Avenue is currently being improved by new sidewalk and drainage laterals. I wish they would replace those tripping and falling hazard aka water meter boxes.

They have installed banners with the re-imagined vision of Tijuanas Avenida constitution with the above message.

The image appears to be a 3-story hotel and at the rear is an existing multi level parking (Libra parking) that will accommodate this new hotel. (Currently closed Hotel Irma).

Just adjacent to this future hotel are Future renditions of The Subway sandwich shop (doubt it).

Adjacent to this Is KFC (Kentucky Fried Chicken) which I suspect will be the existing KFB-Kentucky Fried Buches. Which serves fried chicken necks served with tortillas.

AFAIK, KFB was showcased in either Anthony Bourdain food travels in Mexico or another travel food show.

And yes, streetgirls count is about a dozen on Constitution Avenue afternoon / evenings.

Police vehicles and military vehicles are cruising by about 3 x normal.

    - Cascadas. We all know this one, so no reason to write a big review. It's essentially double the price of comparable places in ZN. Clean and professional, as you would expect. I would recommend staying here if 1) You don't care about price, 2) You really enjoy the HK experience, or 3) If it is your first time outside of your home country and you are not comfortable with safety / navigating a language barrier.

    - Hotel Leyva. Avoid. Tons of cockroaches, baby and large. Wifi unusable. Rude front desk manager. I woke up with multiple roaches in my shoes.

    - Motel Diaz. Highly recommended! You would never guess it from Google maps, but I took a chance on this place and have stayed here my last 3 trips. Prices are very reasonable, with options for double bed / air conditioning. Clean; never seen any bugs. No one comes in your room if you don't ask for cleaning, but cleaning ladies are happy to provide what you need. Breakfast is included, cooked and delivered from a nearby cafe with a few options. I go for eggs, chorizo, tortillas, rice, and beans; filling! There is a door guard, and for two stays I have made friends with them. Girls can be brought back if they show their identification. The reason I would like to try a different place is because of the location; it's a block from the ZN core. Whether because of the gay nightclub across the street, the drug dealers hanging around the Arch, or because I am a young foreigner, but if a police car drives down this area of Revolucion and sees me, there is a 100% chance that they will probe you for drugs and kindly remove some pesos from your wallet. Since other mongers have been incredulous when I tell them this, I should clarify that I am not exaggerating. On every trip I have been shouted at and probed around the Arch at least twice. This doesn't happen very often in the core ZN.

So, I am curious about Hotel Ibiza. Has anyone stayed here recently? WIFI useable? I imagine that it is a loud but convenient experience where you can bring the Ibiza girls to your room without having to pay.
Ibiza was my go to place pre covid. During the week rates were reasonable. Stay on the third floor due to the music from La Malquerida. Rizo de oro above bar tropical was always decent too. Have heard people rave about Velario on Calle primera but I've never stayed there. Plus always thought too dark and isolated to walk late at night. Moe.

    El Mitote nightclub

Anyone been to El Mitote (Blvd. Gustavo Diaz Ordaz 16, Paseo LOS Reyes, 22125 Tijuana, be. See. , Mexico)? I drove by and looked kind of dead from outside during the day, but near where the swap meets are located. The logo shows a woman on a pole. I might have to check it out one day. Tijuana is still packed as ever and wish they had better infrastructure as far as more roads.

I was yesterday (Tuesday evening) at Zona Norte. It looks like everything is back to normal in Tijuana. At 9 PM Hong Kong was full, Adelita: there weren't a lot of guys inside (2-3 chicas per customer.) There are some chicas from Colombia in Adelita. If you like chicas more rounded then Adelita is the place.

I completely disagree. You need strong leadership and not cowards that will be controlled by organized crime.
