I was in Tijuana at the weekend and I was suprised at how cold it was. I'm from Norcal and it felt colder than up here, or at least the same. I was walking around near Parque Morelos after having dinner. I wonder if there is some kind of microclimate that makes it cold because its pretty far south.

By the way, Parque Morelos is cool, they have a zip line for 50 pesos ($2. 50) which looked fun, the same thing in the US would probably cost about $100. They have a paintball field as well for about $15. There were some teenage girls going to play paintball in T shirts and I'm thinking damn, that's going to hurt like hell when you get hit.

If there are no clouds, it is colder at night. Generally the coldest temperature here in the San Diego / Tijuana area can be around 45 F, but generally in winter the temperature is between 50 F at night to 70 F during the day. I am not complaining about the San Diego climate any more because I lived in Chicago for 2 years. OMG the snow started in mid-November and lasted until mid-April! Brutal cold and snowstorms and then the summer was brutally hot and humid. It is similar in New York City. Once I spent a summer in Las Vegas the temperature during the day was 110 F and at night at midnight it was 90 F! No thanks. Only one complaint the water here in the ocean is not as warm as Waikiki in Honolulu.

On the drive back from Tijuana over the last 5 years after midnight, I have been pulled over twice by policias at the alcohol check point on Benito Juarez right at the intersection where it splits into 3 ways into the medical lane. They usually do it on Friday night with a couple nurses sitting in a truck nearby. I had 3 or 4 beers in 4 hours, blew into their test kit and passed. I think their limit is very low, 0. 04% BAC compared to 0. 08% in California. Each time a couple cars with Mexican guys got nailed, cars impounded, wives and kids waited on sidewalk.

Have also been pulled over by CHP 3 times near the I5/805 intersection, given breath test and walk test. Each time I passed DUI tests, but was nailed for speeding and reckless driving. Hell, everybody was doing 90+ MPH on freeway late at night, why pick on me? Lucky I passed the DUI.

A noob had a DUI 5 years ago, got rejected for Global Entry. He said punishments are harsh if they catch him again with any alcohol in his system on the road. He would probably face mandatory jail time. Damn. This noob can drink. I told him to go ahead and drink, we would drive him home. He had a good time drinking and groping girls hehe. I understand CBP would overlook DUIs for GE and SENTRI after 10 years, but who knows what they would do.

Another noob would drink all night, stay until 5 AM, falling down on the street. 2 guys had to shoulder him back to the car, drove him a long way back to where he parked, only a couple miles from his home. I suggested he book UBER home and come back the next day to pick up the car but he insisted to drive his high-performance car home. He should know cops in suburban towns have nothing to do late at night and they watch cars on their streets like hawks. Just a little weaving would piss them off. They would make up all sorts of probable causes to pull cars over to check. That night he would definitely get nailed for DUI if pulled over, or run into something on the way home. Lucky he got home safe, but I wish he would never push his luck again just so he can party with the girls and wingmen every week.

I just got back from Tijuana. My passport expires the end of this month so I sent it in for renewal two weeks ago. Passport Card also had to be sent in. I decided to purchase the 180 day tourist paper at the border the last time I went through with my passport card hoping it would get me through during the long wait for my new passport to return.

Yesterday I walked through the Mexican citizen line, showed the guy my paper, he checked the date and sent me on through. I still have my NEXUS card so coming back to the states was a breeze also.

Just sharing this in case any of you get into a similar situation and don't want to miss out on the Tijuana wonders while you are waiting..

So essentially if you pay the 6 month pass you may avoid the daily $20 dollar fee. But of course you need to buy that 6 montg pass while you still have that passport. I have not been stopped in last 30 times walking in since Thanksgiving. But I dint bring suitcase I have 1 backpack not hiking backpack.

Based on what you're saying it sounds like your passport hasn't expired yet though. You've just sent it in for renewal. You also already bought a 180 day FMM that was still good. Wouldn't necessarily expect you to be hassled in that situation. Even with you not having your physical passport.

My PP is out for replacement. And the -stopped- me on foot from entering on Thursday.

Even with my other paperwork, cards.

They eventually let me in, no FMM required either.

I have a question about changing money. Can someone recommend a good, reputable cambio? Or, if you take smaller bills (1, 5, 10) can you pay for everything from food to HK club that way?

There are a few money changers 3 blocks south from HK club. 20.20 was the rate I saw in late Jan, spot rate was 20.70.

I think it is due to the humidity being near the sea. Here in Texas when a cold front comes through the air is dry and I do not notice it too bad. But once the winds switch back around from the south off the gulf coast even though 20-30 degrees warmer (50's and 60's versus 30's-40's) with humidity I feel it in my bones a lot.

Best just to stay inside with warm ladies, warm crotch grabs, caresses of tities and asses along with hot sexy steamy arriba sessions!

I am one of those folks who prefer not to be approached. I like to look around first before picking a girl. Only then do I want to talk to her. Luckily I have been to German FKKs enough times that I have become comfortable saying no or saying maybe later.

I agree with Lefeu. I really like to do my picking. When the waiters have brought over girls they rarely ever are someone I would choose. Although. Sometimes the waiters know who the new girl / s are and can point them out. I have had at least one experience with this and she was Amazing little body and sweet sweet girl.

At FKKs in Germany hot young naked girls approach gents all the time such that it could be annoying. Perhaps girls not approaching you in HK could be a good thing. It would give you enough time to look around and decide on who should be your bed mate for the night. Once you have decided approach her and she may just be happy to go arriba with you.

I know people who have crossed the border with only their green card, and they had no problem crossing. It may be a good idea to carry their original passport with them just in case.

Everyone else in the group is US Citizen but we are not sure if he can join us since he has green card only. Can he travel with the just green card? Or does he need his birth country passport in addition to green card? Just trying find out info and see if anyone has experience in this.

Went out Friday 1130 pm. HK crowded. Had my free beer, walked around a lot and left. No girl approached me in the 45 minutes. Honestly it was a complete dud of a night. 15 minutes in tropical nobody approached me. The young guy that walked in before me I saw all the woman saying Hi. So there's definitely going to be different experiences based on looks and age. Chicago same thing. 15 minutes be nothing I left. At midnight went to club next to Chavelas in back alley. I think Valentina is name. Nothing good again. Street girls were minimal.
