You could look at elimparcial.com for local news and Covid numbers. BC is currently the 5th most infected state in Mexico. I believe Mexicali leads in numbers but Tijuana is a strong second place. Urban environment in close proximity to other people during a pandemic is never really a great idea but we need to get used to it. Only thing to do would be to choose your "events" wisely and mask up when needed NOT to avoid Covid but to possibly avoid the amount of viral load you inhale.
