The friend may have saved you the expectation of picking up the tab. There is asking you to join in a genuine sense and asking you to join so her and her friends can drink on your dime.

In a Zona club it's not unusual for a guy to have relations with a girl one-third of his age. He's the paying customer. In civvie bars it will be a bit different. Generally speaking, you're going to have to be more "age appropriate." It won't necessarily be as bad as the USA, but if you're 50, for example, it'll be hard to pull a 22 year old. Women between, say, 35 and 40 would be more likely targets.

    Mexican sniffing dog

I was Tuesday in Tijuana (pedestrian crossing San Ysidro ped east) and the first time I saw a Mexican officer had a sniffing dog and the dog was sniffing people entering Mexico. The dog looked like a brown spaniel (not a German shepherd used by the US CBP). There were four or five Mexican Marines with machine guns at the X-Ray machine, and they watched everyone as they entered. Do not bring any illegal items to Mexico because you're going to be in deep doo-doo (e. G. Weed is legal in California but illegal in Mexico).

I really need to get in better shape so I can hit the nightlife outside of the zona LOL.

Can you imagine that caught in the sting? Ruin your job, profession and life, have a felony on your record just for natural urges unmet in US!

They said in the article wouldn't have the human trafficking without the demand (B.S.). Cartels making $ hand over fist bringing whomever person across our southern border for whatever reason. Demand is the overall chance for a better life in U.S. Yes since p-tution illegal in U.S. organized crime gets involved and do take advantage of at risk women.
It isn't just having a felony on your record. The troubling thing is also where you will jailed. Probably prison with the real Felons. General population.

With a misdemeanor, more often that not, you can plea out to a fine and probation. It's really the bread and butter of the court system. The money is used to pay the salaries of the court system employees. And if jailed, you are held in county jail with all the other jay-walkers. And it cost the county to host you. Hence the rate of a misdemeanor plea is so high.

    Halloween in Tijuana.

While Luke sounds like he will be out of state he did a heck of a sales pitch on Halloween in Tijuana / Norte. Have never been there for Halloween so it be tempting as it's a new adventure. Could be fun to meetup with a few from the forum if others make it down there.

If demand goes down girls will just go to other states to work which will probably piss off the girls from those areas and maybe the prices will go down in the non-felony states?

I think it's kind of funny that the religious right has Texas by the balls and "everything" that encompasses. It's one thing when they say "no abortion" but many men didn't give a shit as it does not affect them. But now some of the men's lives could get fucked up a bit with this new law. So as much as I hate to see it I think it's good that Texas feels the full weight of the BS laws they pass. Plus maybe it will drive more prostitution demand over the border in Mexico and get some of the money going down there.

Also those folks who claim they just had to move to Texas due to all the issues in CA. They brag a bit how good it is and yet life seems more and more not so great there.

Can't wait to see the next bullshit laws they pass in Texas.

Not trying to trash TX too much as I really like Houston and know several folks who live in that city. But just "saying". Tijuana is looking better and better.

I haven't paid for many sessions in the states in my life nearing 55 years.

When I lived in South Florida in the early 2000's I did a handful of times because could get some nice talent and not too much $$. Then I discovered CR and Colombia and no need for it in US since I don't have to have it very often. Only one time in TX early 2011 and was a chance encounter in an elevator of a nice hotel where the woman asked if she could use my restroom LOL. I was not actively pursuing and she started the negotiations.

Sounds like these Johns all got caught on-line. The article Solo linked mentions if is a first offense and get a good lawyer then can get it dropped from your record but still! Even before upgrade of the offense I just didn't pursue due to not even wanting to be Misdemeanored on my record. I considered SA and SB but too much $$$ and hassle. I wonder what it is like on those sites now?

I'm thinking the recent Johns caught were going onto free or low cost social boards like on "To Catch a Predator" series and actively offering in a predatory manner but who knows?

San Diego/TJ just a 2.5 hour flight away when I can arrange my schedule. Have been thinking of pursuing work in CA to be closer but soon I think they will eliminate negative testing requirement for air travel back to U.S. and is game on for me for more trips south of the border.

Solicitation becomes felony in Texas as of Sept 1,2021

This is a very serious charge.

115 arrested, 100% were men. This says all you need to know. Note that there were ZERO arrests of anybody actually involved in this "trafficking. " These shadowy kingpins, who smuggle and "traffic" these girls all over the country (if you actually believe this) somehow escaped. These noble cops and lawyers rescue these girls, but for some reason the girls never seem to roll over on their traffickers. So, there you have it. If a girl offers sex for money, she's the victim and in need of rescuing. If a man offers, he's a felon.

You got that right! Texas is such a BS state, and I would never live there!

You don't do something as crude as saying Hi, want to screw for $100? You talk and flirt and do what you'd normally do to pick up the girl. At some point she may mention help with the rent. Or, she may not. But you, at some point, would ask if they need assistance with bills, or whatever. They do not consider it prostitution, and offering them money for sex would piss off many of them. Maybe it's a rose by another name, but it pays big dividends to be culturally sensitive. I help all of my civvie GFs when I see them. The amount varies, NONE of them consider it P4 P, and all of them are very happy to have the help.
Yeah. I think that this is a big cultural misunderstanding, and we often wrongly typecast the chicas as gold diggers. It's not just us guys expected to help out the chicas financially. It's also the club chicas expected to give money to their moms, brothers, sisters, cousins, and even friends in distress. And from my personal experience at least, when you decline to help where you can help, they go ape shit. It took me a long time and a lot of misunderstandings to figure the Mexican culture out regarding help etiquette.
