Almost every chica I know live with other chicas even if they have kids. Living with other people is the norm in Mexico because it is a family culture. Well Mexico doesn't give away money like the US does but they do have lots of programs to help the poor especially single moms. One family I knew would get help with school items and such for their kids if they maintained good grades. Most young girls that get knocked up will also live at home. For those that are completely alone they have a government agency INNOVIT or something like that to help with housing and such. They have some apartments across from city hall that are rented to the poor. Use to know plenty of moms in that place.

Talked to a HK chica about what she paid for a place a year or two ago. She told me $80 per month rent for a one bedroom with a yard. Guessing it is one of the paracaidista type places in a flash colonia. Visited a similar place years ago. However all have been under 30 and I haven't asked them what their salary expectations are in 10 years. I would start by checking the methodology of the survey.

Taiwan engineers make as much purchasing power as US due to their very strong semiconductor industry. Germany, Japan and Singapore do not do very well.

I'm mexican and my brother is a dentist he makes a very good income, just like anyone in the medical field, here and in the US, if you were going to post a BS post with fake information you should at least not choose the medical industry as an example, everyone who works in the medical field makes a lot of money simply because everyone doesn't want to die, and that's universal.

I'm an engineer and I work in a local factory here in Tijuana and the nurse that takes care of us here at work makes the same as I do by the way.

A lot of posters like to claim the Mexican woman are suffering from such poverty. I had a friend in Tijuana, who was always getting fired from jobs, due to Mexican government tracking illegal workers. She was from Peru. She cleaned houses, or cut hair, she made enough to smoke 20 dollars a day weed and drink about 150 a month in beers. Probably another 100 a month in cigarettes. She would also take off to Ensenada by bus to get away. The highest paid ex girlfriend in ever had, by far, was a Mexican in Tijuana factory making about 120 k a year. Obviously not assembly line but she was essentially rich considering no mortgage.

I arrived in the Ticuan Hotel. It gets 3 stars by me, which is my usual. It is clean, but everything is old. The showers have hot water and it is quiet if you are not in a room next to the disco. I took a nap and ate excellent Oaxacan food at a restaurant across the street from Caesars (cannot remember the name). I had the ribs in a dark mole sauce. It was better than the food I had in Oaxaca a few years back! I then took a stroll to Hong Kong taking in the entire red light district, as it was only 11 pm. For my tastes, Mexican women have a bit too much "carne"; indeed, some of them are simply fat. However, the number of women in Hong Kong is amazing, and there were certainly some fine looking chicas. As I was all alone, I sort of wandered around for a while watching the show (which was incredibly boring; most of the girls don't know how to dance very well). TJBrazil, this seems to be a common theme from my experience and I think it is a combination of things including the following: Having to take care of kids with no man to help financially (the culture in Mexico and we see this over and over again is that men cheat on their women and leave them hanging to take care of their children with zero monetary support). Dealing with the stress of not having a real job and the psychological stigma of being a "puta. " Working in the bars listening to loud music, drinking regularly with cigarette smoke getting in their lungs (nothing against smokers). The stress of meeting the quotas required for fichas, competition with other girls, the stress of not being able to pay their rent. Having to sacrifice to take care of their kids when they get sick. I have seen it time and time again. This lifestyle just wears them out quickly. Believe it or not, this lifestyle leads to suicidal tendencies. Most of these girls will tell you that all they ever wanted in life was to be somebody. Unfortunately, the opportunities are not there for these poor women in Tijuana and all over Mexico. You have nurses making 90 dollars a week and dentists making pennies leaving their jobs and going to work in the Zona. Sad and pathetic. Bottom line is that Mexico sucks for women who are single and stuck with kids and no support. And one of the best alternatives to surviving is to work as a puta in the bars en La Coahuila. Sad, frustrating but true. I had a girlfriend that I met in Adelitas one night. She was a Nurse making 90 dollars a week. She told me she was studying so she could be a Nurse in a surgical setting and make more money to hopefully get out of the bars. The salary would be 120 dollars a week. All I have to say is God Bless these women as the stress most of them endure is beyond imagination. Now, many are going to tell me, what are you talking about? Many of these women are beautiful and make more money than you can imagine. Well, that is a minority of them.
