What is your furnished apartment price budget per month?

Ideally maybe half of what the lowest I've seen in LA County which is Lancaster ($689).

A quick search of Airbnb turned up around that, maybe a little more. Agua Caliente or Zona Rio?

Probably heading to Tijuana either Friday or Saturday evenings. Just wondering if anyone has been down there on 4th of July weekend. I went down on Sat on Memorial day weekend. Headed back that evening & thankfully the line was not long.

Both of my parents died who I lived with since 1999. Their health started to fail in late 2016, early 2017. My mother passed Sept of 2018, My step father March of 2020.

The house has been sold. My sister and myself will be moving out by August 1st or maybe a little sooner. I have my Second Draw PPP money and want to save the majority of it. So instead of renting a cheap apartment in LA County (the lowest I found was Lancaster for just under $700 a month for 1 bedroom), I thought hey, why not just hang out in Tijuana for awhile? I haven't been down since about 2017 so while I'm sure some things have changed, other things haven't.

The main reason for doing this is; My BK isn't quite two years old so I don't qualify for any FHA or USDA programs until that point which is Sept 2021. My next business is best run out of a house, townhouse or condo with two car garage because I have two cars and likey adding another. I may have to move to Las Vegas or Phoenix to get the kind of pricing I want but that's for another thread.

So my questions are -.

Any use Airbnb in Tijuana? Any other affordable options exist (fully furnished)?

What sort of flights are available directly from Tijuana? I think I want to scamper over to Costa Rica, maybe fly to Mexico City and then onto Argentina or Brazil?

I had envisioned working the San Diego area for Ubereats so I would have my car with me, please keep that in mind. It's not super expensive (Kia Forte GT) but if there's covered, secure parking on the US side I may opt for that.

Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks.

For those people who have Sentri and drive across to Tijuana and the bars. Where is Sentri driving lane located in Otay Mesa? Went over last weekend and ended up in the regular lanes. Lucky for us that regular lanes were short, waited about 20 minutes. We saw the Sentri lane to the far right of us. Didn't see any signs or markings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am going for a tour of Mexico in August / September flying all direct flights out of Tijuana real cheap, each leg is about 2 hours non stop, all for $240, spending a couple days in each of 5 cities with lots of hot girls, fun parties and sexy sights.

When I went to do a teeth cleaning I didn't have an appointment (which is required) per the border guard to go across.

What are the other reasons gringo's are crossing the border by foot during these Covid times. I do have friends who live down there. Can I just say I am visiting them?? I do have an address and all.

If you live in San Diego county and are regularly in Tijuana zona norte then only buy a 180 days visa (6 months) for $ 30 and always go through the gate for Mexicans. Show your visa to a Mexican border agent and there are no questions or problems. Easy.

To be honest, I've avoided that place for months now because I just found the girls to be significantly lower than competitor bars. I have found that Chicago girls historically are far more permissive. LOL And I have found a diamond in the rough every now and then but I've felt collectively, they have been the third string. Yes I agree Chicago has much better selection especially if you like them thin. The only thing that I have noticed in recent rios is a lot of lesbian action. Each of my last 2 visits noticed girls making out with each other while sitting with a customer or be / F. I couldn't tell if the girls worked in CC or just hanging out. The last time these 2 girls were making out and the guy seemed pretty out of it. So later that night I was in Trop and the same girl was there with her man.
