Try hotel Hachia on Ninos Heroes. Girls stay there long term with low rates like $8-10 a night.

Also many small hotels on Constitucion like Michoacan, CiCi ect. Girls stay long term low rates. Go down and negotiate weekly rate.

Very little crimes in Zona Norte unless you piss off the Cartels.

Agreed. Still not sure why staying in less than five stars accomodations automatically meant being victim of crime?

There's probably ly room rentals that can be found on Facebook. But, for someone trying to be cheap but also not interested in someone else's apt etc, basically what I did at times in past and would do now if needed, is buy a hk VIP card. Stay at hk hotel Mondays and Tuesdays. Use coupon for tropical hotel on Wednesdays. The other days your going to be in worse conditioned rooms, also similarly without windows. And your going to pay about 35 to 50 a night depending on if it's a Friday sat sun night or other days of the week. If you know for sure you are going to stay a week or more there's a hotel with weekly rate on revolution, 400 feet north of Madero on the east side of the road and the prices are on the big TV screen in the window facing the street. The hostel isn't cheap enough to be worth it unless you want company and people in your face.

Actually I like the social environment of hostels. I never had a problem with people in my face, personal space has always been respected.

My experience was that I was required to buy a bucket of beers, and then given a very short time upstairs.

But this was a few years back.

Well, I told them what they can do with the bucket. The chica backed me up because she wanted the payday and we spent more than an hour in the room.

Not sure what to tell you because I've had zero issues taking a chica upstairs to the adjacent hotel. In fact, I did as recently as Thursday night. I've done nothing different than what I've done with bar girls at any of the other bars except pay less, way less. Unless you're repulsive, 1000 pesos and $22 for the room should get it done. If when you said "take a lady out of the bar" you mean get her to visit you in your hotel, that's hit or miss just like it is with girls working at other bars.

My only problem with Rio Verde is that it's almost impossible to take a lady out of the bar.

Yea if I were you I would stay clear of that verde rio bar. Its full of drunk Mexicans. I'm still not sure how a gringo could have fun there. I might have to pm I luv mexicans and ask him.

But I reccomend all gringos stick to HK. So what if they keep raising the prices of everything. Damn fichas went from 10 to 11 to 12 within the last month. Have fun fellas!

Hope you're not a sound sleeper. If you want to spend any amount of time in a cheap motel in Tijuana, you need to be prepared to become a crime statistic. Good luck.

I like Tijuana more foe the bars, and different crowds In each bar. I can go to metal head bar, hk, gay trans bars, and bar Nelson all within 2 hrs having a drink at each one. Even the 80's bars. At least 4 times I tried to walk into this Verde green bar whatever it is called and I left before drinking. Like within 5 seconds everytime. For one it feels like it's downstairs a few steps like a cave. No air, smelly, alot peoppe but no actual place to go for a solo gringo and everyone is mexican. Just felt extremely out of place, like a mexican, showing up in usa for 1st time and walking into a truck driver bar in North Carolina.

This forum needs more reports on the small bars in Zona Norte that are still keeping the prices more reasonable.

If I recall correctly, Rio Verde is more on the edge of the zona, close to the tourist area with the restaurants and small stands selling soivenirs. If so, I have been there once or twice, but never sessioned with a chica.
