Cascadas doesn't care if you bring in a non-HK girl as long as they have their ID. However girls from other bars won't go there unless they're off shift. SGs may still require you to pay a hotel fee if they agree to Cascadas but are partnered with a different hotel.

See attached picture for the shuttle pick up spot. After you reach the taxis, keep going and turning right and you'll hit it. Alternatively, after you exit the immigration building, there will be a short sliding fence at the first left turn on the walkway (still before the turnstile exit) where 1-2 guys are chilling. Tell them you're looking for the zona shuttle and they'll let you through so you can shortcut through the parking lot side street. Shuttle starts going around 3 pm, and it's free but make sure to tip a few bucks.

Lots of the older American guys tend to only go in the late afternoon early evening since the wife doesn't know or they just don't like to be in Tijuana at night. Lots of girls work this shift to be available to these guys so you will have plenty to pick from.

Stopped by the zona late Sunday night for a couple hours. Went to Chicago first to see if one of my favorites was back in town and sure enough she was there, but was busy drinking with a client. If you've somehow managed to make hotel and food cost more in Tijuana than San Diego, my hats off to you on making the impossible happen.

Sunday night I was bored and walked around asking hotel prices at 6 pm. Sunday is the cheapest day of week for san Diego hotels. The prices I got in Tijuana, were about the same to 10 dollars more than San Diego hotels. But san Diego hotels have 2 beds, free secure parking a pool fridge and ice machine. In fact their isn't even one cheap hotel left in Tijuana that anyone would want to step foot in. The prices are so high right now you may as well go stay at the Marriott for the extra 40 dollars. And that was Sunday. Friday and Saturday it's only worse. But I was not including HK hotel as I don't want to stay in those hotels anymore in event something bad happens and I make the news.

I seldom agree with Dogers but he has been talking about this for sometime and it could happen. Many in Tijuana have wanted to get rid of the Zona and make it more tourist friendly. They've had a plan fir many years to make a large pedestrian bridge connecting Plaza America directly into the Zona and to build that area up so that it would invite tourists to visit all the way to Revolution. With the rise in housing demand if they can get enough money behind it there is the possibility of the bars getting thrown out and possibly sending them east to a designated area of the city like in other parts of Mexico that you pay to enter this Zona.

Tijuana has a female mayor along with the state governor is a female and they have been working very hard for more women's rights and protection. Next year Mexico will elect its first female president and more than likely to be the same party as the other females. So in those six years of her reign it will be interesting to see if this is the opportunity to make a change. The biggest obstacle might be the migrant issue at this time since that makes it harder for the US to back a more open pedestrian bridge which would require more agents.

It will be very interesting to see what the future holds but I wouldn't be surprised to have the Zona be completely different by 2030.

I spent 3 days in Tijuana at Cascadas and never barfined a lady. I guess I have gotten used to $27 short time here in Pattaya so that paying $120+ just seems way too high.

My opinion is that Tijuana is being impacted by the near monopoly of Hong Kong bar, so that prices are too high. Which means that the stream of gringos coming to the Zona is becoming a trickle. So, the chica customer are more local Asians, Mexicanos (I suspect they get a discount), and random other foreigners (South Asians).

In 5 years, the Zona will be unrecognizable, as more bars close.

Unless some event intervenes (economic catastrophe, alien invasion).

I wouldn't say HK has a recent monopoly on the Zona, it's been the same for many years. CC was dead as dead gets around 2014 to about 2018. I would always walk in for my first stop of the night and talk to a waiter I knew and have a drink. Sometimes it was so empty I told him sorry and would leave. Something changed around 2018 and my waiter was gone but they had more girls and started to get more clients. In March if 2020 just before COVID it was great.

At that same time AB was getting slower and slower with undesirable girls and few clients. The only thing that helped them was the foreign girls but they didn't stay long. So when AB closed it just sent most customers to CC if they didn't like HK. All the other bars have been the same for years. The biggest difference in my opinion is the quality of girls. I think most just use internet sites more and have found it easier to make money off guys from dating sites like Seeking or pay sites. Even HK promotes a pay site but I'm not sure how many guys actually use it.

Also if you look at other destinations in Mexico the price is almos the same so the girls in this business know what others are getting paid and the market will drive the pricing not HK.
