So auto rental agencies sold off many used vehicles at top dollar. They couldn't rent them.

Rental agencies are not scared of having low inventories of cars. Too much vehicle stock could be a much bigger problem.

Low inventories will initially turn into sky-high rental rates if demand bounces back strong.

Yes, that's what I'm saying. There really aren't that many places that have hot tubs, and those that do tend to be near the beach and attract a more wealthy clientele. You'll be hard pressed to find anything for $1200, but perhaps you can pick somebody off of AirBnB and negotiate a better rate.

The escorts don't like to come to a residence because it has far too much potential danger. You may be a freak, and you know where all the knives are and she doesn't. Maybe the wife comes home and has a hissy fit and pulls a gun. Who knows what may happen.

There are zero apartments near HK that you want to stay in. Trust me. The Zona Norte is far too dangerous for a noob to be hanging out in for a month. The escorts will probably come to most any hotel in Centro (downtown), and Centro is only a few blocks from the Zona Norte bars. So you could get a hotel for a month in Centro, although it will be fairly basic for $1200/ month.

My advice is to find a decent place in a decent part of town and make that your base of operations. Zona Rio, or Chapultepec, or Agua Caliente, or Hipodromo are decent areas. Rent something comfortable. If you're there for a month you will definitely want someplace where you can escape from the Zona Norte. When you absolutely positively must have a jacuzzi go and rent one for 4 hours at the nearest love motel. Cost will be between 800 and 900 pesos for 4 hours. Any and all escorts will meet you at virtually any motel, although some indies may want to keep close to their home base. Once you establish some rapport with an escort she may agree to hang out in your apartment. A little Spanish will go a long way in that regard.
