Instead of fighting and arguing, I said "okay" and just paid and went on my way. I'll be here for 3 days, so it's like $10 a day. Whatever. I had to pay something similar to go to Cuba.
I also walked over last week and was stopped when he saw my USA passport. He asked me what I was doing in Tijuana and I also said dental appointment. He said show me the appointment. I said I called so I don't have a confirmation email but I showed him the webpage of a random Tijuana dentist, which I preloaded on my phone just several minutes before. He waved me thru when I just popped open the dentist page.

The "dentist appointment" excuse usually works (has always worked for me) but it has to be believable. If, for example, you're trying to cross late at night (e. G. , close to midnight) and are dressed like you're going to a nightclub they probably won't believe you LOL. In any case, despite never having a problem with it, I'm tempted to draft a fake e-mail appointment confirmation as a backup in case they ask for verification. I'm thinking more likely than not that would actually work.

Taxivan to Otay

If you're on a budget, you can catch a taxivan to Otay at 4th and Constitucion for 20 pesos. The vans are green and white and have Aerpuerto signage but they go to the linea crossing. Get off past the bridge across the street from the Oxxo. Catch the green an white van under the bridge coming back for 20 pesos as well. Or at least it used to be and I haven't seen any increase in taxivan fares in the past 4 or 5 years. Don't use the white / blue vans at 2nd and Constitucion with the Otay / Linea signage unless you fancy riding through the worst slum in North America and wasting an hour and a half of your life.

Everything is legal, they are allowed to work in the US up to 25 or maybe 30 miles from the border. They work hard in hotels, restaurants, construction sites etc. And US employers like them. Such a right to work in the USA for a Mexican is very difficult to get. - Before the US war with Mexico in 1848, these areas of southwestern states like California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, Texas belonged to Mexico and then to Spain and before that of course to the Native Americans. Now, after the US / Mexico war in 1848, many Mexican families did not move to Mexico and stayed in the USA, therefore the Spanish language is widely used here. Add a quarter of Arizona where there is reservation Navajo, Hopi and Apache (Native Americans). Nobody is here illegally. The Southwest is completely different compared to the Midwest or East Coast.
Well, I said 60%, if you account for bogus marriages and bogus asylum claims. I would add children who are here without citizenship, who still own citizenship of another country. They say the # is 30% without papers. I'm just saying it probably gets closer to 60 % with people who really came here for higher pay. Lets put it this way, I know many people in USA who did fake marriages for papers I know dozens of people who came here for higher pay, I don't known anyone, who came here because they were fed up, tired of, or scared in their country. If minimum wage was 35 an hour in Mexico, and had been the last 15 years, the USA population would be about 20 million less than it is now, assuming Mexico let's people work illegally for their minimum wage. Which, they do not. My friend in Tijuana from Peru has been fired 5 times in 2 years from Mexican government continually tracking down illegal workers. Only USA lets people do that.

Since we are on the subject: I know they are mad at the mf that had his arms and head sticking out of the hole. He just fucked everybody.
"According to the Pearsall Police Department, a person driving behind the truck saw arms and then someone's head sticking outside of the truck's small door. That witness called police. ".

And deservedly so.
The last republican was shitty and put them in cages.
Future voters remember being treated like crap.
And folks that want to get here, and keep trying to get here, often eventually succeed.
