    Uber.
i was also noticing last night that Uber prices have doubled or tripled recently I was looking at the Uber app and fare was $6.59. Earlier this it was only about $2. Uber prices is now roughly the same price as taking Taxi.
Uber prices in Mexico have started fluctuating to 3 x 4 x the price. So Christmas eve no ubers were working I guess so price is high for me. But it could simply be 5 pm to 9 pm on any day. Or going home Fri. Sat night at midnight. I found that taxi bus at 9 pm, it had stopped right in front of that oxxo or 711 across the street from McDonald's. 15 pesos, and you need to know when to get off as it doesn't pull up to the border. So there's some walking. HK being closed causes extra $$ drain from losing the $3 tip limo option, to no free drink with VIP card.

South Florida old policia patrol cars

Police patrol cars in South Florida, Miami, Ft Lauderdale ect are old, big, clunky, worn out sedans of the 90's. They look funny like a bunch of LA's low riders. I don't remember seeing any police car in Orlando, Tampa and in towns along the West Coast.

Yet Florida is well known for lots of crimes, high density of hardened criminals and violent drug gangs, not to mention a high percentage of mental drugs addicts in the population. Watch Al Pacino in "Scar Face" and you will have a good idea.

I have no confidence in any police department that cannot afford decent patrol cars hehe.

The summer in San Diego, if you live here will have you missing the rain, smell of trees, shade, that you get on the east coast. And for people from east coast if you live in San Diego anyway you need to deal with elements of crime that are considered no big deal in California, things that would have 4 cop cars show up in Florida. But liberals love the criminals here.
You have a very interesting point of view. Someone actually complaining about San Diego weather of all things? And also complaining of CRIME in San Diego? San Diego, California? Seriously? My own experience has been the complete opposite. I consider San Diego to have gorgeous awesome weather. And as a person who has been to real true ghettos and rough neighborhoods in other cities, I feel 100% safe in any area of San Diego. San Diego is like disney land compared to other high crime cities. Complaining about crime in San Diego of all places? I'm flabbergasted by that.

    Crossing border to Tijuana

My new wingmen were all impressed how quickly I can drive across the border at San Ysidro to Tijuana.

Even on busy Friday afternoon, the wait is usually only 5 minutes to cross Mexico's El Chaparral check point, nobody ever checks documents or cars, then another 5 minutes to drive through La Zona Norte to Hong Kong's valet parking. Total 10 minutes and I would be sitting in HK sipping a couple beers, ogling hot chicas for potential sessions in bed. Sure beat the hassles of going to airports with luggage, waiting in line to clear TSA check point, huffing a flight for a couple hours, collect luggage then wait to clear through DR's Imm and Customs.

A scared-cat new wingman found crossing so quick, easy and safe, he came back the next week by himself, hanging out in La Zona Norte most of the day and night, spent everything on bar and street girls to the last dollar hehe.

Dogers, man. I'm not saying this to be a jerk. But man, you're complaining about 75 and sunny, dude. SD has the best climate in the country. I don't think many would argue that. You got to start looking at the glass half full. I haven't been able to make SD work long term for me. Yet. But I'm very jealous of those that live there.
    Best climate in the world!

Going to the DR is not as easy as crossing the border from san diego to Tijuana and the flights cost. Not talking about the hassle at the airport. The ocean is warmer in Florida though.

Instead a taxi van, who wanted 15 pesos. The thing is, nobody is going to the border at night. So you won't know when to get off. I missed it by 1 stop and had to walk and if my phone map didn't work I would not have made it to the border on foot. Something to keep in mind. Maybe finding taxi to take 5 bucks is best. I would prefer HK limo but they aren't operating.
Just off the top of my head, if you want to get off at a certain stop and not miss your stop but it's dark and you're not sure just simply tell the driver exactly where you need to go and he'll let you know when you reach your intended stop. A little bit of communication can go a long way.

And Merry Christmas to all you mongers and horndogs out there!!

    Hot, humid, bugs-ridden

Florida and Houston are hot, very humid, ridden with mosquitos and ants. I sweated so much clothes were sticking to my skin, could not peel them off. Clothes became very uncomfortable.

In the middle of summer, the sun shines bright in Florida but if you go in the shade, you would be quickly attacked by thousands mosquitoes. They would stick on your skin, sucking blood, blackening your arms and legs. Damn. A guy got a good job offer and moved his family to central Florida, only to move back to California within 6 months due to bugs.

I cannot stand the swamps in Florida with giant toothy ugly alligators, huge, long, wiggling pythons and whatever else deadly creatures living in the canals, some damn ugly water lizards. I was driving in a ritzy neighborhood near Naples. A huge alligator was waking down the street leisurely like it owned the street. I stopped the car on the side of HWY 90, watched an alligator slowly and quietly swim with its mouth wide open towards a white pelican resting in the swamp. A sneaky attack with one quick swoop, it swallowed the bird whole. Damn. I would never put my feet down any swamp in Florida.

Life has to be worse in the swamp land of Louisiana and Mississippi.

I am glad to be back in south California for the quality of life.

Yep, Florida sucks. Florida reminds me of Houston minus the high paying jobs. Both place sucks, but there is a lot of money and work in Houston.

My mother grew up in Chicago. My father grew up in Brockton Massachusetts (a surburb of Boston).

My mom's family moved to Los Angeles in 1944 during World War II. Driving to LA on black market gas rations.

My uncle (my father's brother) served in the Air Force in LA during WW2 and convinced his Mom and all his siblings to move to LA just a month or two after WW2 ended.

As kids we grew up in SoCal never seeing snow. Always felt like we missed out on having any snow-related fun.

But if you ever asked my parents or my uncles if they missed the snow. They always gave a loud and emphatic no!

Christmas eve not much going on in zona

Maybe the quietest I've seen in zona other then poring rain evenings. Still woman to bang but I go more for the atmosphere. Revolucion bars were closed otherwise maybe I don't even go. Not many woman in chocagos hotel, or Gloria, or 2 in Korea, hk had maybe 35. If you need sex it will still do tomorrow even I guess but I'd guess new years will be same. Not alor street girls but some cute ones. HK VIP card won't work for free drink which I expected but found annoying. Hk should lower beer price 4 is a lot for Tijuana.
