The least expensive hotel I have found online is $27 a night.

Seemingly the last hostel is now $32 for a shared dorm.

Are there any options below that with at least WiFi?

I need to stay in Tijuana until I can afford to move on to South America or Southeast Asia.

I'd like to come down soon (this week).

I like Tijuana more foe the bars, and different crowds In each bar. I can go to metal head bar, hk, gay trans bars, and bar Nelson all within 2 hrs having a drink at each one. Even the 80's bars. At least 4 times I tried to walk into this Verde green bar whatever it is called and I left before drinking. Like within 5 seconds everytime. For one it feels like it's downstairs a few steps like a cave. No air, smelly, alot peoppe but no actual place to go for a solo gringo and everyone is mexican. Just felt extremely out of place, like a mexican, showing up in usa for 1st time and walking into a truck driver bar in North Carolina.

Yea if I were you I would stay clear of that verde rio bar. Its full of drunk Mexicans. I'm still not sure how a gringo could have fun there. I might have to pm I luv mexicans and ask him.

But I reccomend all gringos stick to HK. So what if they keep raising the prices of everything. Damn fichas went from 10 to 11 to 12 within the last month. Have fun fellas!

This forum needs more reports on the small bars in Zona Norte that are still keeping the prices more reasonable.

If I recall correctly, Rio Verde is more on the edge of the zona, close to the tourist area with the restaurants and small stands selling soivenirs. If so, I have been there once or twice, but never sessioned with a chica.

I responded to you earlier but the post must've gotten deleted LOL. Basically that guy has been posting stuff like this for years with no recourse so not likely admin is going to do anything about it, other than delete the offending posts upon complaint. Seems to stem from an incompetence from the admins / moderators and / or an agreement with his racist, ignorant, etc world views. I've participated in dozens to hundreds of forums in my 30 years surfing the Internet and can honestly say this is the most poorly moderated forum I've ever seen. It would be one thing if the forum didn't have rules, but those posts very clearly and obviously violate the "SPAM" policy of this forum (per this forum's definition of "SPAM" This is all just to say it's highly likely nothing will be done about it given that nothing's really been done in the past, sorry.

If he does post such drivel I think admin should allow the posts for the rest of us to see the mental instability that could occur if we do not have sex or are refused even by prostitutes! There is no other explanation.

Then write some. You said you've been in Rio Verde once or twice, then write about your experience. You've written many posts but I'd like to see you evolve into writing some with original information, not stuff that's simply recycled from reading the threads.
