Last minute decision to head over. Making a pit stop in Vegas then over to Tijuana. I have been going for years and love it, but lately I have noticed the need for some change of scenery and sadly more recovery time LOL. I am at the point now that any grimy hotel and street tacos just to be 24/7 by HK is not the ideal set up anymore. Don't get me wrong. Still a fun time and will do this, but not the entire trip.

This being a working trip as well, I do need somewhat of a decent hotel where I can do some work during the day as well as be around a nice area I can pop in a coffee shop if needed or desired.

So, I want to make this trip a bit different than the standard Revo, ticuan / Pueblo Amigo and bars only trip. I want to expand and try new things and new places.

I am fluent in spanish (I would say 8. 5/10) so that helps I think and feel I am missing out.

So I want to:

1. stay at a new hotel. Nice but girl friendly. Any suggestions in the Zona Rio area perhaps? Or even Centro, just not Ticuan or PA. I was thinking City Express or Grand Hotel? Anyone know if they are girl friendly? I also like the hotels without a lobby to check in (kind of like Villa De Zaragoza) where girls can go straight to your room. No BS.

2. check out great restaurants. Seafood would be great without having to go to playas or Puerto Nuevo.

3. see some escorts / SA girls. I got this. Just need #1 to be a place that allows this.

4. get a nice legit massage. Revo has some spots but I think there has to be better out there, also would love some spa services (Shave, haircut).

5. get some work done in a nice comfortable area. Nice Hotel helps but want to switch it up. Coffee shop etc.

6. Non ZN clubs. I am checking out Deja Vu, Amnesia, Cueva del Peludo. I know the reviews aren't the best and nothing tops HK, but I am curious and it's part of the expanding.

Also noticed that there is a Xolos game this weekend so plan to try and check that out.

Last night the border app showed a 15 minute wait to get back by car around 9 pm so I figured I would drive into Tijuana again. When I crossed and took a look at the line, there was a shit load of cars! Damn you border wait app! WTF!? It was easily over an hour wait. Probably 90 minutes from my estimation. I knew I should have walked across like I had originally planned but oh well. Hong Kong was pretty dead for a Sunday night. Got bored rather quickly and headed to Chicago. Unfortunately got the same vibe over there too. There was a new girl I liked but she seemed too reserved and uninterested in being there so I didn't approach. Headed back to HK and things had improved a little but still not great overall. Bought a cute spinner a drink to feel her out. So, what was the donation you had to give her?

She never quoted me a price but considering what I ended up spending on drinks I gave her $110 based on the change I had left over. I probably would have gave her a little more if I would have spent less on drinks, but she seemed just as interested in hanging out rather than only fucking. She had hinted on going somewhere else outside of the zona to hang out but I saw myself having to bump up the budget and shied away from that since I only had one thing on my mind.

Not really necessary but if you look happily on vacation they will try get you. Best to go through alone too. I saw last month a 30 yo guy, with learning disability of some sort. They got him to walk into that office. I wanted to tell him to refuse tobpay. It was his 1st time in mexixo he told the Mexican border patrol. But I couldn't get involved since I walk through often.

It's $15 a day now, but still the best value of the big lots in SY. The Holiday Lodge next door is still $10 but hard to find an empty spot on busy days.

Thanks for the parking spot. 5 min walk and $20 or less for the day is all the extortion I can handle. Yes, was nice when parking was 8-10 for 24 hours. I looked into the Trolley idea and didn't pursue because last train is I think 8:30 pm-9 and that puts you at peak linea time. Didn't know how reliable or a hassle an uber / taxi would be, taking it 5 minutes north to a Trolley lot that I heard becomes a catalytic converter shopping mart past the last trolley's. I think best game plan for a day trip is arrive early as possible non-holiday at or before 1-2 pm. A bit earlier if you are interested in being the first's customer of the afternoon shift. Somehow make it to 11 pm. That doesn't seem difficult if you live very close by, but if you already had a morning drive, border cross, a few beers and bang. Your big head starts twirling around 6-7 pm. So it's bite the bullet and cough up another $100 for a cat nap at any hotel or power through. I found a place on Expedia called Paris hotel. Hostel, the single rooms were $50, and the hostel bunk room was $30, I actually half way considered booking and if needed taking a siesta in a Tijuana hostel? That's a LA / Hollywood movie plot waiting to happen LOL.
