Can someone from California explain the lunacy that is California to me. I'm reading an article today that they are trying to pass a bill to give illegals no down payment and no interest loans on homes. Why are illegals being treated like royalty in these sanctuary cities. They aren't citizens, so they can't vote. Citizens can't get these bennys so why them.

He didn't say anything but an opinion on an issue and wasn't against a race in particular just non citizens getting things that some citizens don't get. I know many people here illegally and they do get benefits that regular citizens don't get unless they are very low income and as a citizen we should have the right to question why are tax dollars are going to this. Especially when these tax dollars could be used more to help other lower income families which are often non white so many Latinos and black communities are also against this.

Whenever I think of getting angry at 'illegal immigrants' coming into America I check myself by remembering that the Norse came and settled in the north-eastern part of North America in the tenth century and Europeans flooded into America from 1492 and took over lands inhabited by native Americans. Many of those arrivals now referred to as 'illegal immigrants' are part native American.

Stepped out after getting cash from an ATM in Centro and there they were two cops pulled up on me in a truck. They asked me if I'd been drinking, where I worked, what I was doing, if I had drugs, etc. I gave simple answers and they frisked me. I held the cash I'd withdrawn in my hand and they patted me down even searched my wallet which amounts to nothing more than a cardholder. After the minor inconvenience, they sent me on my way, albeit I'm sure they were quite disappointed.

In that circumstance, holding your cash in your hand is a good idea.

Another thing to remember is 90% of asylum seekers do not have a valid claim so they don't show up for their court date.

I think the experience you are speaking to is flying from the US into Mxico were my experiences are only flying from Tijuana. Last year I flew to CDMX and I didn't fill out any FFM or was I ever asked for ID. They use to ask you for your ID and boarding pass when you go to get into the security area but now they just want to see your boarding pass.

I'm flying to GDL in a few days so I'll see if anything has changed.

If you fly from the US to CDMX, you will be asked for a completed FMM at Immigration in Mexico City. The fee for the FMM is included in your airfare.

On your return flight, the FMM will be taken from you before you board the plane.

Perhaps. But before, whenever you entered Mexico by air, you had to go through passport control and fill out an FMM. Free for 7 days, and whatever the charge was for longer stays up to 180 days. Now, at least in Mexico City, they do not even offer the FMM at passport control.

But, there is no mechanism for canceling the FMM for land border crossings, so lots of people keep them after they walk back to the US. Using the FMM at a land border to get back into Mexico is not legally possible, but since FMMs aren't required to get into Tijuana anyway, you get waved through.

What you can't do with a used FMM is fly into the interior of Mexico.

I am not sure what used FFM means. If it means expired then you can't use it at land, air and sea ports.

If it means unexpired but one you bring in from the US into Mexico land, air and sea ports then works at land crossings only with no issues. You can't use it to fly or pass through sea ports into Mexico though. In my case I flew from California to Puerto Vallarta and thought they will wave me in after checking my passport at PV. No, they asked me to change the FMM but they did not charge my for it. In the case where you already crossed into Mexico via land ports and then fly into the interior locations of the country, I don't see a scenario why you could not be able to use it. A good example of this is, If you go to Otay Mesa airport using the land bridge then you are obligated to buy FMM or other shorter period visa. If you cross on foot using the FMM as stated above and then go to the airport you can use your that same FMM. I would advise though if they ask you whether you have been to the US since you got that FMM, don't lie and buy a new one. At least I saw one person wrote about this in some forum.

That is true. The FMM cards you pay for are good for a maximum of 180 days. But they are also intended to be single-entry forms, meaning in theory they cease to be valid once you leave Mexico, even if it's prior to the 180 days (form is supposed to be turned into officials or discarded upon leaving the country). But I've never actually heard of this rule being enforced, at least at the land border. I've even gone back and forth across the border over a few days time re-using the same form, which they even let you use to go through the Mexican Nationals line, even though I definitely don't look Mexican LOL.
