Posts: 18Using social media to proposition chicas for a cita
I follow a few Hong Kong girls on instagram and in turn follow some of their amigas. When I see that they have multiple Hong Kong contacts in common, I assume that the girl also works in Hong Kong. Is there any harm in propositioning these girls for a private date at a motel? I use my actual account, so besides creating a fake one, what advice would you give for going about such an arrangement?

Every time they swipe your passport, theres a record of it, in the system. Never see an agent lookin at your stamps.

Will the border patrol stamp my passport if I ask them to?
I just got a new passport and go to Colombia a lot and I don't want to have all Colombia stamps on my new passport.

As for drinks, you can walk out of the zona (or taxi if you feel uneasy) just a few blocks to Revolucion. Within a mile, there has to be at least 20+ bars. Beers can be had for less than a dollar (Tecate) and other drinks are still less than HK prices. Other things to do: that all depends on what you like. There are a lot of clubs on Revolucion that can be fun at night. But if the language barrier is an issue in the zona, it might be even more so in the civie bars.

Posts: 2481st Tijuana Trip -- Some mistakes & Some Fun
Made my first trip to Tijuana earlier this month which was also my first international mongering trip. Found a cheap flight to San Diego and booked a last minute flight, so my research & planning was a bit limited. Stayed 2 nights in the hotel above Chicago Club (Hotel Jalos). Was only able to hit Chicago Club & Hong Kong Club during this visit, so will be making a 2nd trip in foreseeable future.
I am no rookie when it comes to Strip Clubs & even strip clubs fronting as brothels. Have been to places such as East St Louis, Detroit & Tampa. The language barrier and speed that things move can't be underestimated. My first mistake was not considering that my phone might not work across the border & needing to pay for a taxi instead of getting the free Chicago Club ride since I was unable to message them. My second mistake was letting a Chicago Club promoter a Chicago Club promo girl walk me into the club. Had to pay the guy a tip & her fischa drink was extra expensive at $15 and then she did not arriba. My third mistake was getting talked into a lap dance in the private room for $20 that was nothing more than a typical lapper that turned into $40 because of some miscommunication that lead to be in the room for a second round.
My mistakes made an early dent in my $400 cash budget for fun, drinks, food, transport and souveniors. Shoke off my mistakes & made a walk around the Zona before it got dark on day 1. Found a very attractive street girl for $40 with all extras / upgrades & $6 for the room. Hit Chicago Club at night and did first arriba -- seems $80 is asking price with $60 bottom price.
Changed some dollars to pesos since I found you say money both on street girls and food / drinks outside the clubs paying with pesos. Found 2nd street girl for 250 pesos, 50 pesos for room then plus 100 pesos for naked & CBJ, so 400 pesos total. Crashed for nap but oversleep, so hit Chicago Club again on night 2 (last night). Was able to make early afternoon (11 am - 1 pm) visit to Hong Kong on last day. The talent was high for being so early & mid-week. Never arrived because my top 2 choices got busy & needed to allow time for border crossing & then trolly & bus back to SD airport.
In total had 2 sessions with Chicago Club girls, one at $70 and one at $60 and two street girls, one at $40 and one at 250 pesos. Most meals cost $5 or less in the Zona. Would like some info on things to do during the day & cheaper places to drink then the big clubs. A $100 is really a lot of money in Tijuana Mexico, even me a newbie paid at most $70, so not too sure about guys paying $100. Is it because they are dead set on a 9+ specifically at Hong Kong & during the weekend?

If the CBP BWT prediction model updated more frequently than a hour update schedule currently in place. Real time update or more frequent would give a better picture.

I drive. I cross back at Otay or San Ysidro. I use the Ready Lane and the standard lane, depending upon what numbers I find online.
I use the Bordify app and the GaritaCentral website to tell me lies about the wait times for each lane. They usually have the exact same numbers, but if they don't, Bordify tends to be closer to the actual time.
They almost always understate the wait times, but they understate San Ysidro a lot more than Otay. If they say Otay and San Ysidro are the same, Otay is really shorter.
The bigger the numbers, the less accurate they are. If they say 15 minutes, it's likely to be 18. But if they say 70 minutes, it's likely to be 105.
But if my apps say that the Otay Ready Lane is the shortest, I believe them. And that's usually what they say.

Posts: 657Lifestraws do not filter industrial contaminants
The reason I purchased the Epic water bottle is because it is one of the few that advertises it filters industrial contaminants like asbestos, lead, fluoride, Chromium 6, PFOA and other bad stuff. My understanding is that the lifestraw is for hiking in rural areas and preventing infection with guardia from mountain streams and springs. My guess is that Tijuana tap water is far worse than guardia infected mountain streams. Research the portable filters yourself, but I haven't gotten Montezuma's Revenge from drinking Tijuana tap water from my Epic water bottle. . .
