Yea I'm flying in from North Cal. I've read up as much as I could about the trolley and pedwest / east so I think I'm good on logistics.

La Malquerida is known as an after-hours place. Lots of girls go there after their shift. I've seen lines out the door on a Sunday morning at 5 or 6 am.

I can attest that La Malquerida is quite busy at 5:30 - 6 AM most nights. It is an after hours hang out for the BGs that aren't ready to go home yet. It's not my favorite place. But those looking to negotiate a take out deal might find some luck. The cons: the music is incredibly loud. It's tough to carry on a conversation. The other down side, which is manageable, is that a high percentage of patrons are almost falling down drunk. I've had a few good mornings there. I've had more that I don't remember much of.

The chica bucket is not a horrible value. But I will say that the price seems to differ based on the mesero.

If you go to Chicago Club across the street you will see Blue and White Taxis. There should be 3 Moises / Miguel / or Coco are the drivers. They are the most trustworthy in the zona. Tell them a friend from Hotel Leyva recommenced them to you. Many guys use them.

Much safer than random Taxi Libres.

I'm always curious about what's up with some of the less-famous bars in the Zona. Last Wednesday, I had a couple of late-night hours to kill, and decided to take a walk-about. I had one or two beers in several bars.

(Spoiler: This isn't much of a trip report, but it's all I got. I didn't go arriba with anyone.).

Playboy: Pretty topless dancers 8/10 to my taste*. I'd read that they had private booths, and wondered what was happening on the second level. It looked private, but I only saw girls going up there.
