Uber passenger needs SENTRI pass too. Secondary inspection delay possible.

I took Uber from the SD airport late on a Saturday night in May. Didn't want to deal with public transportation at 11:30 pm. Surge pricing was $67.30 (ouch). Trip to drop-off next to trolley was about 20 minutes. Returned via PedEast at 6:45 am on Wednesday. Big mistake. Wait was over an hour. Line out the door and down the block. Took Uber back to the airport for $36.56. Uber driver lives it Tijuana and said he could have picked me up at Cascadas. He has a Sentri pass and usually passes border in 20 minutes.

You are wasting your money with Uber. They are going to drop you off at the same place public transportation is. Then you have the long walk across the border. Only difference is that where the airport bus drops you off, you have to walk across the street to get to the trolley. Other than that you will be lugging your stuff the same distance. You will save about an hour taking Uber, but you will be paying $40 more than if you took public transportation.

I figure Uber could go from US to Mexico, but the driver would have to have a passport on him and I seriously doubt that he is going to sit in all that damn traffic going over and crossing back.

You cannot cross the border in Uber. I prefer weekends because there is better girls working.

Thanks for the info. My flawed research includes Uber RideGuru shows Uber from SD airport to Tijuana fare is $39 - 23.8 miles. There are also articles about why Uber can go from the US to Mexico but not in reverse. The primary reason is commercial insurance laws which state the country of origin is where a commercial vehicle has to be licensed I. E. US. But would require Mexican insurance if trip originated in Mexico which Uber is not going to do.

HOWEVER, based on your comment I did more research and it looks like this was 2016-2017 info and as you suggested Uber discontinued this. It seems the best way is to take Uber to PedWest and cross so glad you led me to update my research!

From reading many strip club reviews seems weekends are really packed at the good ones. I don't need the most gorgeous dancers and have more modest tastes. I have no interest in big breasts prefer smaller not over C naturals. and seek more sexuality, more than just raw sex. Also turned off my all the hustle, tipping all over etc at clubs which is why am doing more research on escorts/agencies. Both Pedwest & Pedeast are pedestrian border crossings. There is rarely any wait at Pedwest. The only time there is a line is in the mornings from roughly 6-10 I believe. You cannot cross the border in Uber. I prefer weekends because there is better girls working.

Can someone explain PedEast vs PedWest? Seems different folks talk about going both ways.

I have Nexus since been going to Canada for about 15 years (mostly Toronto) I think I understand that it equivalent to Sentri or same lane if I walk across the border. But if come by car it has to be preregistered. But I plan to come by Uber from San Diego airport (forget public transportation I will have too much with me) But then I read if you come by car you don't even show a passport at least by some posts. I need to renew Nexus by January so thought should also get Sentri but seems I do not need. I will never be renting a car coming into Tijuana. Nexus includes Global Entry which worked in Frankfort returning from Germany.

If it was easier I could have Uber drop off at the border and walk in if Nexus would speed up the process.

I plan to avoid busy weekends and probably arrive Sunday night and leave Thursday. I assume there is a lot more travel on Friday so should avoid.

Am also confused on return. Uber can not easily go from Mexico to the US. So assume I Uber to the border, cross and order Uber once back into the U.S. to take me to San Diego airport or a hotel.

Went through the border yesterday and declared a bottle of Maxifort aka generic Viagra 100 MG and eyedrops I had bought to the CBP agent. No problems and no prescription. Approximately 200 pesos at Piri Farmacia.

Costco 9.30 am to 9 pm. Stock up. Stateside Rx needed for left overs "Sidenafil 100 MG Quantity xx Generic" to meet CBP secondary requirements.

FYI, you can get Viagra and other chemical assistants in HK. Typically the toilet trolls sell it and some meseros. More expensive, but less hassle than going out late at night. Many pharmacies close when it gets dark, so unless you know where you are going, there is a risk for getting into a bad situation.

I would be careful taking any pill absent its package, which is how HK staff provides it.

Saturday nights are the absolute worst. Don't listen to that BS about all the hot girls come on weekends, they might come but never to be found. Every Saturday night I'm there I only see the uglies walking around and a thousand guys. Thursday nights are probably best but even Monday or Tuesday nights are popping with tons of hot girls working and not taken.

I would agree in saying that there are plenty of available chicas on Monday and Tuesday nights. (and not a lot of mongers romancing them).

I also see a lot more of the "beauty challenged" chicas walking around on Saturdays.
