I couldn't seem to find a forum for hotels so I am posting here. I plan to see a woman I found on a SB website for a few days in Tijuana but can't seem to find a decent hotel near the Rio or Centro districts where she advised me to look. I have travelled extensively around the world and have never seen such bad hotel reviews, even for $150/ night hotels! Noise, filth, bedbugs, lack of hot water, padding the bill, nasty service etc. Etc. This is just weird. Could anyone please advise me of a good clean and safe hotel which costs less than $100/ night? Thank you.

Where are you getting your information? That's totally bogus, unless you're talking about the shitels in the Zona Norte.

Centro: Ticuan, Villa de Zaragoza, Be My Hotel.

Zona Rio: Pueblo Amigo, Lucerna, Hacienda del Rio, Real del Rio.

Slightly farther away: Grand Hotel, Palacio Azteca.

EVERY one of these hotels fits your requirements. I have personal experience in every one of them. No bedbugs, no overcharges, no rude staff, plenty of hot water. During the summer, the noise from the club Cheers (across the street and maybe a half block away) can be a bit annoying if you're staying in the Hacienda del Rio.

Tijuana is not the greatest town for hotel selection, but it's adequate if you don't mind a short Uber ride to wherever you want to go.

I always recommend Ticuan. It's in Centro, it's always less than $100. Many times, you'll find a jacuzzi suite for that price. And after spending roughly 70 nights there over the last 2+ years, I've not had a significant issue.

What does FMM mean?

It's like a Visa. You can get a 7 days or less for free, but I travel there a lot, so I pay for the 6 month FMM. It is required to enter Mexico.

Curious what kind of car you drove down there? The other night I saw a Maserati get pulled over right across the street from HK. They made him pop the trunk and everything, so I'm sure he was going to get shaken down.

I was in a average Toyota rental, I honestly was kinda scared when they through me in the cop car, but than they started talking about a fine than I knew it was just a shake down. My dad is from Mexico I talked to him about and he said he was embarrassed and it happens all the time unfortunately.

Yesterday I paid 558 pesos for the 6 month FMM. The female agent asked me why do I need a FMM for 6 months. I replied, "I hate waiting in line. " The conversation stopped at that point!

You can have lap dances with HK girls and don't have to take them upstairs. But HK lap dances are kind of expensive, $21 for 3 songs, in the tiny cubicles inside Miami.

You can buy the chicas a $9 ficha in the club and get the same 15-20 minute lap dance in public. Take the girls to the couches on 2nd and 3rd floor where there is some privacy and not too many guy gawking hehe.

Order Azul's dinners with the 2-4-1 coupon and the chicas will linvite their friends over to hang out for an hour.

Just got back from Tijuana, I stayed at HK but on the way home about a block away from HK I got pulled over by the cops and they took $350 from me and my cousins. They threw me in the cop car said they smelled alcohol and than asked us to pay a fine.

I love Tijuana but kinda skeptical to go back, guys be careful if you drive your own car over the boarder.

Thankfully the rain will be over tomorrow. I will probably wait till Saturday to visit Tijuana. The weather is supposed to be around 73.
