I was there last summer. During the day time, the whole area along Hwy 1, Ave. Lopez Mateo, the malecon, fish market etc, is full of thousands cruise ships' passengers walking around, shopping, eating. There were no street girls anywhere. Ensenada city hall is very strict against any sort of crimes or vices around downtown to protect its cruise ship business. I suspect policias drive off any street girls in the day time.

A few years back, there may be half dozen street girls hang out late at night on Miramar, next to the now-defunct Bar Anthony's. They used Las Vegas motel behind Anthony's.

Since there isn't any current intel on Ensenada I figured that I would get a faster response here since the last post there was in June from someone asking for information and it still hasn't been answered yet.

My question is: Does anybody have any info on the street girl talent during the day on a Saturday or just any street girl intel in Ensenada?

Not sure I crave thick or dark per se, but I am curious. How comfortable would a middle aged gringo with limited Spanish be at a place like las pulgas? I walk by it all the time and have seen some fairly attractive women dressed provocatively. 95% seem to go as couples. I've never gone in. I can tolerate the banda music. Just not sure how likely I'd be to score.

I have been to Las Pulgas several times. I went there once by myself and asked a girl to dance. Next thing I knew, she invited me to a table with another girl (both very attractive). Found out that they worked in the Panasonic battery maquiladora in Tijuana. They make very little money in that job. 60.00 a week for a 40+ hour workweek. They were simply looking for a good time and with someone that could afford to buy them a cubeta. I dated one of these girls for several months. You are going to find many women like this. The advantage is that these girls are not putas. They are normal, decent women just trying to get by in life and would never think of working as working girls. I also went to Pulgas with a waiter from LC and we always met girls like this. Honestly, I would rather be with these women than any money grabbing manipulative lying puta that you find at most of the bars in La Coahuila.

My waiter friend from LC shared with me that 90% of the women working as putas in the La Coahuila bars do drugs. A lot of meth and cocaine. Most of them have loser boyfriends at home that don't work and basically leech off of them. Most have 2 or more children. The boyfriends are usually young and often threaten harm if the girls leave them. Therefore, why not hook up with a decent, honest woman at Pulgas?

Give it a try. I'm in my 60's and look like a clown. Been there many times. You are safe there. When I go with a date I seem to be more desirable. And when I go alone my chances of scoring become 0. 007. But the best part of Las Pulgas is if you strike out you are only 6 minutes away from a place filled with beautiful women and all of a sudden you will transform into the worlds most handsome man.

I have seen a few angelic-looking girls go solo in Las Pulgas, dancing all night. The clubs are packed with mostly young people, but there are also middle-aged people. Just go in and enjoy their party scene.

If you see someone you like, just smile, turn on your charm and ask " Hola! Como esta?" " Una bebida para ti?" She would either smile, accept the drink and stay with you, or move a way. You never know until you ask. I hooked up with a pretty student from Tecate by just asking her name and where she came from, just like talking to bar girls. The music is very loud; conversation very difficult, if not impossible for non natives. Just smile and gesture like you are having fun.

Guys would order table service with a popular bottle like Patrone Tequila and gesture to invite girls over to party. There are women sitting by themselves with buckets of beers, giving guys the eyes, but they tend to be too thick and dark for my taste so I never partake.

A couple of tips are to make sure your debit cards work in mexico before you go, and you can prepay the Tiquan on sites like Expedia if you are sure you are going to stay there.

The first time I went to Tijuana, I brought 900 cad as backup. Not a bank or exchange would touch it, I left with the same amount as I landed with. Since then I have gotten smarter with the peso and us dollar mix. I can get from the east coast of Canada to San Diego for 550-600 cad return so that's not so bad.

Sorry, should have been more clear. Yes, I pay ahead through Expedia, and of course, the flight. So I'll "only" be walking in with 2 k.

I know I'll be ridiculed here for this but sometimes I'll exchange for pesos, sometimes I don't. I'm well aware that I lose a few dollars negotiating in US. I think the SGs are more susceptible to losing the conversion game but I typically don't see a lot of SGs. I completely understand the logic behind pesos and don't blame anyone for doing so.

And I'm extremely cautious about ATMs in Tijuana. There is a lot of talk here about the fraud that occurs. It is a subject I know a lot about. That fraud can happen anywhere. But it is more common in Tijuana. I know much has been written about specific ATMs. But it can happen at any ATM, big bank or some small convenience store. Far more important is the location, and in particular, the immediate surroundings.

Not feeling like an MVP. LOL In that $3,000, remember, nearly $1,000 goes to flights and hotels. Ticuan is expensive for a week. (Definitely a choice I make, but I really feel that is best for me.) Then when you figure I spend about $220 a day at HK, another $100+ a day for the agency of choice, plus enough sustenance to keep me going for a week, it adds up quickly.

About half the chicas in HK and on the streets will have gone home for year-end holidays. However, HK would still have 40 to 50 hot girls every night, those hard-partying young girls who live locally.

I have never had problems finding hot girls who would fire me up and get me horny despite my fairly selective tastes for nice, clean, young, pretty spinners. The bros should have plenty of good choice during the year-end holidays.
