I was in SD for a day...

...Overall a little over 3 hours in Tijuana with 3 nuts, 3 tacos and a few beers! Not a bad way to use that time!

I was in SD for a day and had some extra time on hand, so decided to take a quick trip to the adult disneyland.

Went to the little tienda (store) on the corner of alley and Constitution (Fruteria Avitia IIRC) and bought a vitamin V and coconut water to take it. 85 pesos for both. I personally know 2 guys the send themselves money from the USA to Mexico via Moneygram. They tell me he rate is much better than the exchange houses on either side of the border. Personally I just do ATM withdraws, using my BBVA Compass card at a BBVA Bancomer branch, with no ATM fees, My last transaction, after the 1% international fee, was 19.45 to the dollar.

Thanks BBond, I personally like this option and have opened up a checking account with BBVA Compass bank. Are there any BBVA Bancomer ATMs in / close to Zona Norte? On the Western Union Option, I called again and this time they said that US citizens can collect money, but they added that there is a tax on money transactions. Will give it a shot on my next trip and see how it turns out.

I usually use my Wells Fargo Card and withdraw from any bank, I think the rates are good since they charge me $5 non ATM fee and the 3 dollar fee from the Mexican bank (usually $3) however, is the BBVA Compass Card available for us in the states, this sounds like a pretty good deal.

I looked into it and it's a pretty good deal, I'm still looking around but I was thinking about using Schwab.

Was not my quote but I have spent time hunting massages. Obviously, it depends on what you are looking for. For full service, there is New Body (& a couple other similar outfits). IMO, they are way overpriced. You do get the benefit of "shopping". But you'll pay less for full service at HK. If you are looking for a good massage, Kalinca or Aztec are decent. My personal preference is the vivamex on revolucion. There are two. I use the one on the east side of the road. I have always received a very good massage there and was surprised a time or two, though I would not expect it.

Lastly, I've also had massages from escorts and SGs. The SG massages were mostly very good, but of course, that is definitely hit or miss.

My guess massage parlors "full service" and all types of prostitution are illegal in California. If there was a nuru massage (nude Thai girl massage with oil or soap foam) then I would be there every weekend! It is only legal production of porn films in San Fernando Valley near Los Angeles (as a result of the lawsuit around 1971) and strip clubs (I'm not sure if lap dance is legal). Planning on heading south of the border Tuesday morning from LOS Angeles (suggestions as I don't have a car on reaching the border cheaply? I won't have much luggage) after finding some time on my hands. The plan is to stay over til Friday morning or Thursday night.
