Going to be my second trip to Tijuana this weekend.

Given the low exchange rate, is it still worth it to get pesos?

If so, which place would you use? Last time I went I used SD Money Exchange, but apparently on Google, they say it's a rip-off.

Any help would be appreciated!

I crossed today with Global Entry at 6 am. I waited maybe 5 minutes in the line. Baggage Xray was closed. I could have smuggled in a suitcase worth of money and drugs. But I didn't.

The last handful of times coming in to San Diego through USA Customs I've just walked out without bothering to go through the x-ray line for my large suitcase. No one noticed or said anything any of the times.

No. There is actually no signs of the Title 42 expiration when I visited Tijuana.

I'll never forget this reality show about the border. This idiot was coming from Colombia and had a bunch of cans of peaches. LOL who the hell brings peaches from Colombia. At least bring coffee so you have a shot at smuggling. Anyway, the agent had the same look I had: SERIOUSLY, this guy is that dumb. Yes he was. The agent popped the first can and it was full of cocaine. The dude is probably doing life. You ask why they ask so many questions. There is your reason. I worked with a guy that smuggled steroids from Tijuana in the 2000's. There are a lot of dumb people that will risk 5 to 20 years in a 6 x9 cell to make 25 k. We would never risk our freedom but some people are desperate.

Spent last night in Tijuana for another TLN with my HK girl. I managed to sneak in some run throughs of HK and Chicago. Everything was up and running like normal. No noticeable difference in the chica selection at the clubs. If I hadn't been told about everything that went down in the zona a couple days ago I wouldn't have thought that anything had happened and everything was business as usual. Spotted one of my favorite HK girls but she was busy with a client. On my Chicago stop met a cute, natural bodied 18 year old that goes by Sátiro from Durango. Kind of a weird name but after making her repeat it a couple of times I came to the conclusion that was the name she was actually giving me. Had never seen her before and she claimed to be on her first full week on the job and doesn't speak English unfortunately. She said she hates working in a strip club but that she's there to make money to take care of her 1 year old because the father of the baby only gives her about $125 bucks a month. She was a pretty cool chick and made her 1 drink I got her last almost an hour so if you're looking for a girl to hang out with that isn't going to run up the tab she's your girl. I'm not going to lie to you guys, she's not super hot but she's cute enough to take for a spin and very sweet. I didn't take her upstairs because I didn't want to pop right before meeting up with my girl but I will take her upstairs next time since we hit it off pretty good and the fact that she made 1 drink last practically 1 hour was kind of a turn on LOL. She says she usually comes into work around sundown and pulled a 24 hour shift a couple of times.

I have to agree with you. You don't know much about the Constitution or the law regarding crossing our border.

We are ALL subject to the "Border Search Exception. " The agents do not have to have probable cause to question you, or to look through your things. Anything more invasive does require a reasonable suspicion.

Why people get all upset over the agent asking questions makes no sense to me. They are not the morality police and they don't really care what you were doing. They ask in order to see your response. If you get all nervous, or angry, or whatever, then red flags go up and you may spend some time in secondary. You can say you were in HK club. You can say, as I do, you were visiting your girlfriend. Whatever. They're within their rights to do so.

They ask if you have anything for the same reason. If you start sweating and get nervous then you're going to get more attention. If you lie about it, and they find stuff on you, then you're accused of smuggling and things will go badly.

So, yes, if you're a citizen they have to let you in. But they don't have to make it easy, and if you give them enough guff they might get nasty. It's not in your best interests to get into a dick-measuring contest with the CBP.

Unfortunately, I am a us citizen so when coming from mexico into the us, I won't get a free cell phone, I won't get free medical care, I won't get protection from the us military, and I will be asked a bunch of questions. I am wondering what's the consequence of the following.

"where are you coming from?" "none of your damn business".

"did you bring anything with you?" "none of your damn business".

I am thinking 1) I have the right to enter without having to answer any questions 2) the border patrol agent knows this 3) but they will hold me in a cell for 10 hours just to prove they can.

I don't know much about the constitution other than the first amendment. But it seems to me the only thing they should check is if you are a citizen. If you are a citizen, you are entitled to come back in. I understand they need to make sure only their own authorized agents bring drugs into the country and you don't. But "where are you coming from" is none of their business and "did you bring anything with you" is a dumb question. You think a drug dealer would say "yes sir I brought one pound of fentanyl with me"? I am not looking for trouble. It's about the principle.

You can tell border patrol to stop hassling you, illegally, let them know you know you don't have to answer questions. Problem is if you ever want to do sentri or even come through the border again they will flag you and give you problems in future. How many murderers are moving to usa every hour from these crime ridden countries where murder is legal? And they come here with a clean slate while black men can't get NYPD jobs in myc because so many have criminal histories even if minor theft ones. Before global entry I used to give border patrol alot crap about why they let the bus people cut the line when they all just got on the bus at the border the whole operation is a scam. I use to tell them no photo of me as legally I can choose not to. In past I found it amusing me the woman asking me so many questions talked to me longer than Hong Kong girls do. I felt like I owed them money. But as I got older I just had no patience for them mostly because the border wait went from 25 minutes to 4 hours. If you give them crap, you must know how to keep your cool. I had one I gave no grief to jump behind desk at me grab me put arms on table and patted me down. We are both white. He must felt I look like typical san diego white tweaker. So they can charge at you even pull gun on you. You will have to keep cool. Same with drug enforcement agency guys. Dea was always bothering me on amtrak asuming in a drug transporter because I'm middle aged white guy with no wife or kids. I seen the same dude 3 times in 3 years in his undercover street clothes and this time told the 20 year olds they didn't have to let him search their bags on train. He charged me like he was gona punch me. He wanted me to react and punch him. So if you can't keep your cool don't test them. They will do their best to put you in prison.

My little hotel I use off revolution was flooded with asylum seakers. One family had 20 people in it. Tons of Russians Ukrainians. I think they will still be seen in hotels because with open border policy people still need a night orn2 to stay and get organized for their strategy over the border.

The problem is that it is not a sleepy border somewhere between Norway and Sweden. In San Ysidro, people from around 90 countries try to cross the border using fake documents, fake IDs, plus drug smuggling, people smuggled in car trunks, etc. Never dull moment here.

Why would anybody bother faking documents when they can just cross through el paso, not only do you not need fake docs, you also get a free cell phone, free 5 star hotel, and free medical care, and a free bus ride to anywhere in the us. And I understand they want to make sure that only their own authorized agents bring drugs to the country. But "did you bring anything" is a dumb question. You think a drug smuggler is going to say "yes I brought drugs with me"?
