What can I do there that's pleasant for both? Was thinking to take us for massages maybe?

I went into the hotel Garcia & asked what the rate was for 30 minutes. They were charging $20 for half a hour.

How come they charge $6 for 20 min. with a SG? Do they get VIP discounts or something?

Just walk into any xoxo shop. And get a new sim chip / card. They're about 10 dollars. You get a new Mexican number. Just pop it in your unlock phone and you're done.

Nice. Looking for the convenience of something possible in Zone Norte , the XOXO an excellent selection. Not that I don't mid walking to Centro (during the day) or taxi to Zone Rio but might not need to. Thank you everybody.

What are you talking about? Pedwest is a much shorter walk than Pedeast. It's not even close.

So then Ped West has opened? This is news to me. From reading news stories, seems only foot traffic is flowing north to the US, but not south, and only from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two weeks ago in the afternoon we drove across "the bridge" and I glanced at the Ped West but didin't see any activity, probably had just closed. How does that work? If you have an iPhone can you just walk into a telcel, swap your iPhone sim for a telcel sim, and your phone just works in Mexico with your current number and everything?

I'd say Telcel is the most convenient, don't know if it's the best. I got a Telcel SIM when I was doing some window shopping in Zona Rio, but you can get them all throughout Tijuana. Just walk in, tell them you want SIM, pay for the SIM and plan, and away you go. I think I paid roughly $10 in total. Good reliable internet all through Tijuana and MX, in general.

I'm thinking Movistar or Telcel for a SIM card and ST plan but which provider the best and which location? El Centro, Zona Rio?

I'd say Telcel is the most convenient, don't know if it's the best. I got a Telcel SIM when I was doing some window shopping in Zona Rio, but you can get them all throughout Tijuana. I was eavesdropping on a little argument happening at the Hong Kong entrance the other day between a girl, an American monger she had just sessioned with and a couple guys from management. The guy didn't speak any Spanish and the girl didn't speak English so there was a huge language barrier. The girl was claiming the guy short changed her and that when he handed the money over he just emptied his pockets and gave her all he had. She seemed upset at how much he gave her. Management was asking her how much he gave her and she said she didn't know, which sounded weird but she clearly didn't think it was enough. How she knew that without knowing how much he gave her, I don't know. The monger was telling management he gave her $80. When they asked the girl if he gave her that much she said she didn't know and that he just handed her a bunch of assorted bills. It was a weird argument on her part but that's all that I heard. She even started crying at the end and told them she didn't even want the money anymore since they weren't completely taking her side like she wanted them to. Who the fuck knows what ended up happening.

Wonder why couldn't she have just taken out the money he gave her for management to verify.
