I agree with Tall Man. La Zona can and really should up its game. Mexican's usually have an attitude of take it or leave it. Since there are not many other options I guess they feel they can take this approach. With that being said, if I was in the Hoe business I would train these girls a lot better cater to a more upscale clientele. I find it is the quality not the quantity is what mongers seek. I would rather have 10 solid women in my stable than 50 mediocre broads. Knowing this going in my approach is just to sink my pole into a wet whole. I don't expect to have intellectual conversation about geopolitics or post modern art. As long as you calibrate your expectations, there are plenty of tight wholes to pummel for a bargain.

So, here I am in Southern California with plans to work in the morning and play in the afternoons and evenings. Day 1 was reported a few posts ago. There isn't much to say for days 2, 3, and 4.
Day 2 (Friday):
Crossed in the middle afternoon. No problems because the 6-month visa purchased the prior day got me through the Mexicn side of the building without problem. 50 peso yellow cab to the Arch and a walk down the hill to Disney Land. One thing I did learn is the first two cabs refused my offer of 50 pesos to Hong Kong but the 3rd cab accepted my offer of 50 pesos to the Arch. So be it.
Found one of my old favorites in Hong Kong named Sorray. Spinner with long straight jet black hair. I've never seen her approach a man, you have to approach her. Anyway, good performer in the room and well worth the 900 pesos paid.
Decided to have lunch at a nice resturant, so I walked up to my favorite, Caesers. Had the lamb chops, which were excellent.
Headed back to ZN and walked around a good bit and had drinks in HK, AB, LC, and BT (1 beer plus 3 bottles of water). My favorite girl from AB was not seen so I had to pick another. Decided on Elizabeth, who was a real ball of fire in the bar but a dead fish in the room. So much for learning about her via the fiche drink. Will not repeat. There seem to be multiple Elizabeths every where I travel, this one was probably 5'3", 130 pounds with huge enhanced tits.
Started to feel some stomach pains, so headed back to my US hotel.
Day 3 (Saturday): Did my morning work. Feeling the residual stomach problems from day 2. Spent more time on the toilet than I care to admit. Not in condition to cross the border.
Day 4 (Sunday): Just the same as Day 3. Took a ton of immodium with little affect. I find it hard to believe that a meal from Ceasars could cause so much problems. Could have been from another source.

Posts: 1792My recent epiphany -Tijuana bars is NOT a mongering destination!
Spent this past Thursday afternoon through Saturday afternoon again in the Zona. I must confess that this visit was the first since I returned from a few week stay in Havana, Cuba last month.
Like usual I stayed on the 6th floor hotel above HK, brought a few girls back to my room, drank too much both nights till early morning, had a decent fun time, met some buddies, watch some football, smoked a few cigars, walked Revolution for old times sake and enjoyed great street tacos.
Nothing more but nothing less. Then on my drive back came my epiphany. Tijuana is NOT and should NOT be viewed as a mongering destination, it is what it is and that is simply a few clubs and bars where you can watch some girls, watch some football, drink some beer, enjoy a few hours of relaxation and maybe should you find a suitable girl go and fuck with little expectation of any GFE BS that many of us mongers seek.
Lets face it, the majority of us go to HK, AB and other clubs because we can get there within a few hours drive from San Diego or LA. The decent rooms are expensive by normal standards at $70. Night on weekends at Casadas, the girl drinks are expensive at $8. Each, the cost of girls at between $70. To $100. Is on par with girls you find on Back Page in LOS Angeles for example. Then not to mention the travel and border crossing hassles and time wasted, the police corruption and shake-downs, the risks for safety, the hassles and constant never ending request for tips and more girl drinks, blah, blah, blah.
Then the quality and friendliness of the girls has indeed plummeted in the past 10 years, its ALL hardened pros only desperate to separate us from our greenbacks. Times have changed in the Zona and they will never return.
So go with little to no expectations, which I will return again, but knowing that Tijuana is NOT and never will be a mongering destination but rather just a place to stop in from time to time to get out of our rat race routine here in LA or SD.
Just IMHO after 18 years frequenting the Zona.
The Tall Man.

Posts: 2420The Mexican Border is really loose-goose with their rules right now. It's really trial and error at this time. Therefore, even if one of us confirms what the rules are, it my change by the time they experiment applying the rules to your particular situation.
Anyways the combination of the new passport rule and the prior El Grito celebration this recent Tuesday really slowed business in the Zona this weekend (at least on Friday) where the girls were openly complaining of the lack of business, and several businesses and restaurants in our beloved Zona were closed on Friday.

Posts: 2569At this point they are only enforcing the rule for the pedestrian crossing. Hopefully they were correct at the passport office. I do not like driving in Mexico. They drive to crazy for myself.

Posts: 524I can't confirm it but since you're local ie not coming from LA etc, you have nothng to lose-other than your time-by trying at the San Ysidro pedestrian crossing. Alternatively you can cross at Otay Mesa where the passport requirement is not being enforced.

I had to get a passport replaced and was told that they will let you cross into Mexico so long you have receipt showing that you applied for a passport along with a Drivers license and birth certificate. Can someone confirm this. ?

Posts: 82Baja Mex sometimes has the best rates and is convenient if you park near there. Just check that the houses don't have commission.
