My guess is the hotter HK and AB girls average closer to $75 per shift for fichas. The average ones would make much less. There seems to be a higher ratio of customers to girls at night, so I expect the night shift girls make more drinks than the day shift girls.
A girl telling you $150 per shift isn't surprising. She wants you to think her time is valuable so you will kick in your share of $150.

Does anyone know how much ficha money AB girls must make in a working day, I was told by an AB girl $150 dollars, that sounds too much to me is this accurate?
At $8 a drink they need to buy like 19 drinks? Also what happens if the girl cannot cover the daily minimum amount do they have to pay from their own pocket to cover the rest?

Barely survived.
So I'm playing hooky and will be spending today in Tijuana (mostly HK and Adelitas).
Let me know if you guys want a special report on a Thursday visit. I've not been down here in the middle of the week in a decade.

Yellow Taxi owns the concession in front of Adelita.
Outside of the designated taxi stands in front of the bars, you can flag down a moving taxi quickly. In most cases available taxis will flag you down. The drivers will honk and aask if you need a ride.
The only time this isn't the case is during a rainstorm when all taxis in cities around the world become invisible.

I seriously need a naked chica on each lap to lower my blood pressure.
Wonder which section I could take a deduction on all the chica propinas.

I was in Tijuana last year and spent a fantastic 11 hours. Which included 2 different girls and copious amounts of alcohol. For that excursion I booked the cheapest room at the hk hotel. Was in at 8 pm and left 7 am spending about 3 hours total in the room.
I'm get the honor and luxury of getting another trip down south but this time for 3 days. I was wondering if anyone has stayed at the hk hotel in a longer term basis? Ie more than a day or 2. Do you think my stuff will be safe, is it up to the mark on cleanliness? Etc? Basically would you recommend it for a 3 day stay? I figured I'd spring for a more expensive room this time.
Anyone's thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again.

Stay safe and play safe.

But if my final destination in Tijuana was a bar or hotel in La Zona, these other bus lines / routes would require even farther walks.
I've been going to LZ for the last 10 1/2 years. And I've always been tapped into the intel. From the ground since I've always read Tijuana hooker boards since a time even before my first visit to La Zona. In this time frame there have been periods of great danger on the streets and periods of time with relatively good safety. Right now we are in time period of heightened danger from both rateros AND the policia.
It is prudent right now to take taxis directly to wherever you are going in Tijuana, especially locations in La Zona.

JPF manner of "no negotiation" is probably not well suited for Mexico and especially the culture of service providers in Tijuana (including taxi service).
As a voracious reader reader of these Tijuana forums, over the years I have read hundreds, maybe even thousands, of reports where Tijuana vendors and service providers attempt to scam their customer (locals and gringos alike). I've also heard scores of first hand reports from fellow mongers who have endured disagreements with Tijuana vendors over fees and / or services rendered. Have you ever heard the term "Tijuana Hustle"? A very common ploy is attempts by servers and business owners to take advantage of non-specified terms (and many times even dishonestly changing the fees and terms of agreed upon deals that were specified).
I glad this has worked out every time for you JPF, but I would never agree to accept services (like taxi rides or other services) in Tijuana without a clear meeting of the minds as to what the total costs will be. And I wouldn't recommend your strategy to others.
