I never understood the VIP in the bar thing. The room is less than 20 bucks, and no questions about what will happen there. Rooms at Hong Kong are nicer than the ones at Adelitas, Hong Kong has a shower, at least the ones I have been to.

$7 x 5 beers is $35.

So for $10 more, you get a private room.

I figure that this is best for you favorite girl, someone that you already have a special affection for. It's definitely not for a new girl unless you want to deal with "I changed my mind" syndrome.

Just to clarify, were the 5 beers were ficha beers? Playboy has a similar deal with a "VIP" room (one-way glass), and they tend to do the same. Promise extra time, but deliver 45 minutes. You must pay the girl extra, the money you pay the bar covers the ficha drinks. Basically, not worth the money. Go to a hotel.

If you don't speak Spanish in the zona then you will have a target on you. It'll be up to you to have them miss the target. Alcohol won't ever help from being scammed. I'm mexican American and I speak fluent Spanish and they'll even try to scam me to earn a buck.

A lot of bars on the alley offer beers for around $2, sometimes even less.

So I think he had a right to expect more than he got for his $45 expenditure.

Chator, you were victimized by both the shifty mesero and that ratera chica. They were obviously working together to cheat clients.

This is good info. Thanks for it even though you were a victim of scam. This may suggest to the rest of us to stick to the more reputable places like Adelitas and HK.

You were scammed because the waiter lied. But you got what you paid for because $45 is the standard price of a VIP room with a bucket of beer. The girl blew you off because she was expecting separate payment. At least this how it has always been quoted to me.

Ok. I was offered the V. I. P. Room $45 for 45 minutes, the girl I was with told me it would really be an hour. She also said she would have sex with me in the V. I. P. Room. So, I go for it as it sounds like a deal, plus you get 5 beers. Well, the minute I get in the room, the girl I'm with leaves to use the bathroom and is gone for like 5-10 minutes. She comes back for a few minutes, then after a little while tells me she needs to leave again to use the bathroom a second time. She's gone for another 5-10 minutes. After 20 minutes the masero tries to kick me out of the room. I tell him its only been 20 minutes and my girl has been in the bathroom the entire time. He gets her for me and she's with me for another 10 minutes during which time I try to get her to have sex with me like she promised. She refuses but allows me to take her top off and proceeds to give me a hand-job, without any lube. After 30 minutes in the room, the masero tries to kick me out again and the girl agrees with him that my time is up. I consider this a scam as I did not get what I was promised or offered.
