Posts: 8Greyhound bus from San Diego to Tijuana
Hey gang,
I was reading about the border crossing times. Has anyone tried Greyhound from Tijuana to San Diego? Is the bus station area safe to go in and out of and how far from the HK is the bus station as far as cab cost.
Thanks to the veterans for all of the information. I am going to be there November 2, 4 and 5. Anyone interested in a beer or two and some hunting?

I'm a huge fan of the Birria. The best place I know is on the corner of Ninos Heroes and Calle Coahulia. Its right next to my favorite sea food stand. Here it is: https://www.google.com/maps/@32.5376168, -117.0404778,3 a,75 y,84.87 h,81.41 t / data=!3 m4!1 e1!3 m2!1 s4 SmDRRDijNMR1 KZDRSQWDw!2 e0.
This picture was from 2009 and the grey building in the back is now a restaurant. Can you post a map of the are your favorite taco place is? I'd love to check it out.
Thanks

"Discovered" a taco stand that puts everything in the Zona to shame. It's a one trick pony, but, as Paul Simon said, it turns that trick with pride.
If you like birria de res, this place rocks. A ton of flavorful, slow-cooked until falling apart, juicy beef. Enough that the tortilla can barely hold all of it. Crowds of locals lining up for them, no gringos in sight.
I was only able to snarf down two. I wanted another, but just couldn't eat any more. 15 pesos each. Worth every centavo.
SW corner of 4th and Ninos Heroes. Daytime for sure, not sure how late they're open, but probably not after dark.

Posts: 994SD Blue line parking station
Parking an older car at Blue line trolley station would save the $20 but not the same security level as the parking lot.

Last night, I went cross the border for some panocha. I have been going to Tijuana for 25 years, and for years have been parking at the dumpy motel next to the JITB. Now, I haven't gone on a weekend night for a long time, but usually was accustomed to paying like $7 on a busy night, $4 during weekdays. I get there at 10 pm, and the guy says $20, I am like fuck that shit, I will park at the lot across the freeway. So I park over there and found out why. The new pedestrian way over totally sucks. Before, it didn't matter what side you parked on, now it does. It is a very long walk now.

Posts: 81Nice offer. I will be arriving from San Diego Mon afternoon for the first time. I have lots of experience in Latin America and speak decent Spanish, but I would love to meet up with you. I'm planning to stay at H. Cascadas for 4-6 days. I'll send a PM. Thanks.
