Yes. Anybody that tests positive has mandatory hospital stay, including locals. If they pay or have good insurance they can stay in a nicer private hospital. If they don't have insurance, they go into a government hospital, which is nowhere near as nice. A woman I met there didn't have insurance and ended up in some terrible room with no AC, tv, or phone. There are some temporary places set up and a number of hotels have been converted to quarantine hospitals. The numbers are nowhere near as high as the US, so they have not been overrun.

I had to be there for other reasons. There is absolutely no reason to go over there for girls right now. Most of the nightclubs are closed still. You can find them, but why? I just came from there. If you test positive while you are there it is a mandatory hospital stay of 10 days. Symptoms or not. If you are near somebody that tests positive, you have a mandatory quarantine in a govt-approved room for 14 days. It can set you back thousands of dollars. Leave the room, go to jail. It isn't worth the risk unless you have nothing but time and money (or good insurance).
