The police shakedown was a random event for pedestrians. But it always a good idea to keep abreast of local crime trends. The danger is when these are on the rise.

Its ok to wal into zona Norte from border if you know what your getting involved in. Some guys may like the adrenaline rush. But its important to know that's about the best place to mug someone or like this case, have a polocia steal from a gringo. Or steal from a mexican even if you look latino. Also know, Tijuana is murder capital of the world. If someone chooses to mug and stab or shoot you, they are not gona go to jail for it. 98% of the time anyway. And if they went to jail they can buy their way out. Take the 50 cent bus that's at the border when you walk over. If you don't like this danger situation.

Kathy is good looking the downside is that she does not offer any extras. But she is the best SG out there at least for now. Just keep hoping things will improve this year.

I very rarely get stopped on the bridge. It has been over a year since they searched me in Tijuana. The police have not been shaking down pedestrians in recently. These days the police stop & frisk the dealers or other potential criminals in the Zona.
