Posts: 6524Life of a street girl
A few years back, Daisy, a hot, pretty 18 YO, started working in the alley with her half sister Ashley.
After 1 year she saved enough money to go back to Vera Cruz, operating an upscale gym on the main boulevard with her sister. Larry of Nikki's tracked her down and was planning to visit her.
2 or 3 years later, a bro gave me her facebook page, showing her pics in DF, looking a lot older, with a daughter about 5 year-old. There were no pics of the men in her life.
Don't know how she's surviving now. Such is the life of a pretty Mexican girl.

If you go to their social media pages, most, if not all HK girls I know, show their pics with female friends and children, but never pics of guys who fucked them, got them pregnant then just dumped them and their babies. Some pics show them partying with single guys, but not as BFs or husbands. Looks like they have total control of their lives.
Among street girls at hotel Mini, a few years back there was a sweet, gentle, tall, pretty, light-skinned girl named Sol from Puebla. She was always so sad and depressed. One night she appeared sadder than ever. I asked 'Que Pasa?' She bursted out crying with her tears all over my shoulder. Looked like she was coerced into that situation. I felt bad for her but my Spanish was too little to understand her situation.
Another girl at hotel Mini, Claudia, was nice, sweet, gentle, pretty like a Japanese Porcelain doll. A few years back I heard she had a baby and moved to Mexicali with her BF, working the street near the Chinese motel. Looked like she had a family life.
In LA, I used to know a tall, pretty German-Irish girl, fresh out of high school, doing in call and out call to support her Latino BF. After a year or so she had a baby. The BF would push the stroller with the baby out of the apart so she could see guys. The place smelled fetid, probably crack cocaine.

The guys walking around with clipboards are likely Health Inspectors. I see them occasionally in the alley insisting on seeing health cards of new girls.
I met some of the prettiest, sweetest, gentlest, happiest girls in Tijuana bars and streets. They would all deny having pimps. In my impressions, most are single mothers, who got into the business to support their babies after being impregnated and dumped by their crooked, selfish BF, and just swear off getting new BFs after the traumas. They are mostly vulnerable young women, doing what they can to survive in a very rough society. Some are probably in bad relationships, working to support their BFs, but I have not met any girls in Tijuana who are coerced, trafficked and exploited by violent pimps as in the US. I know a few very pretty street girls living happily with shabby older guys, presumably working to to feed and house them. You can call them BFs, padrotes or pimps. If you ask the girls for their tels, those who give out are independents, those who refuse are likely in tight relationships, perhaps even trafficked or pimped.
But some Mexican girls are definitely trafficked as reported by the pimping industry in Tenancingo, Tlaxcala. Also the cartels are known to be getting into the lucrative business of kidnapping and trafficking young girls. Always look out for signs of trafficked humans and take steps to prevent them.
I hope the doctor's wife is still in good shape, personally tested and checked up by her husband regularly, and they have a happy family life. Hehe.

Posts: 16I've lived in some of the "worst" ghettos, barrios, and and / or on the streets of the US for most of my life. I've never saw a single case of sex trafficking. I have however seen a whole lot of girls who have deep inner desires to be working girls. Society has made them feel shameful for having those desires, so when someone comes along and offers them a way to act on those desires without taking responsibility for them, they often accept and appreciate that. That doesn't mean that all enjoy being a working girl to literally anyone they see, but her desire to please her pimp, who's given her the key to act on her desires, and the pleasure she gets from doing that keeps her out there every day. No one in the US or Mexico is truly forced into sex work. There are places in world where people are out of legitimate life or death poverty, but not here. If a girl here truly wants to get away, there are many organizations who'll help her do that very easily.

Posts: 1288100% agree, the media overstates this issue. And I have absolutely zero knowledge about anything like that in Tijuana. But I also know with certainty it occurs in the US. Again, probably nowhere near the numbers the media would like us to believe. But I do believe, as consumers of more legitimate businesses, we have a duty to call it out if and when we see it. And I do not think it's a blurry line. Is she 100% knowingly and willingly in the business or not?
I'm off my high horse. Again, I don't mean to offend or judge anyone. I'm not casting stones.

She did tell me about a local doctor who rents out his wife. Is that trafficking?
On a related subject she agrees that the demise of Craigslist and Backpage puts the girls in great danger as has been reported elsewhere. Fortunately Mileroticos and Locanto are still in business but are probably not well known to the average US guy.
