Yes if you are used to how things work in the states it can be a little confusing.

In Tijuana if you are referring to a street walker it usually means a girl who will move around. Usually due to not having a health card. Many times just a druggie looking to earn quick cash. On the other hand a street girl will be stationary usually found in the same spot during the same hours. They will also have a connection to a nearby hotel.

Street girls stand in one spot posted outside the hotel they're working with. They are subject to the periodic checks of sex worker health cards.

Streetwalkers have no set post and walk around looking for a buck. More likely to be a meth head or other junkie that is going to get you in more trouble than you're looking for.

You can catch the taxi van by 2nd & Constitution. There is white van with purple stripes. It is best to wait on the Constitution. The vans charge 15 pesos. Tell the driver that you want to go the border or Frontera.
